If I could go back, i'd probably have entered with this. Tests fine.

Questionable cards: Judge/Ambipom/Night Main/Claydol/EnteiRaikouLeg/Lucario/Chatot/Pokemon Communication

Judge I played without testing at all. Decided to play it as I saw alot of Gyarados/Shuppet and Judge seemed like a strong choice. A card I can tutor for to potentially break a matchup seemed good. Worked well whenever I played it.

Pokemon Communication - Obv an amazing card. I cut it when Claydol went. I've heard alot of arguments for this vs Bebe's, but i'll have to test. Again, Bebe's I can tutor for with Cyrus, so perhaps 1 for 1 i s correct. Not sure.

Ambipom - I cut it from my Nationals list last minute. Card allows for a quick win, a response to Garchomp in mirror and can provide a cute out with its first attack. Decided there wasn't enough Luxchomp to warrant it, but at a bigger tournament, its probably needed.

Claydol - I ran a 1-1 at Nationals and a Pokemon Communication. It worked well when I could get it out, but it seemed like a liability too. A point in my setup that could be abused to some extent. I ran an Unown Q to help with getting a stranded Claydol back to the bench without having to waste DCEs, and increase the potential pressure I could apply early on by giving my pokemon free retreat. In hindsight, I wouldn't run Claydol, and would run U-G over U-Q. I managed to beat two Kingdra/Machamp decks without the Unown G, but it would have made my life alot easier.

Night Maintenance - I ran a Premier Ball over this, again to add to faster starts, and apply early pressure. Night Maintenance is back in because I cut an energy, and it helps if you lose material early on. Not sure if it deserves a spot, need to test.

Lucario - Won me too many games, can't be cut.

Chatot - I've seen alot of lists cut my boy Chatot recently. He's my boy, mimic, free retreat, being able to lock stuff up on occasion. What can't he do!

EnteiRaikouLegend - Didn't run it, still not running it, haven't tested it.

Hope this helps.

ERL will win you games that you wouldn't otherwise win, especially if your opponent doesn't know it's in your deck. It gives the speed/donk decks like Machamp, Kingdra, and Jumpluff fits because they love filling their bench with these 70 and 80HP Power Pokemon like Uxie, Azelf, and Claydol. It can also turn the tide of a tight SP matchup if your opponent isn't careful about their accrued damage and you have enough Crobats at a key moment. However, it also takes up 2 spots in the deck that could be used elsewhere, and the attack doesn't apply Weakness, so you can't enjoy beating down Water Power-based decks with it as much. You also have to be extremely careful about your own field when you decide to use it. With Zong, it's quite easy to surprise somebody with a quick ERL, then retreat it for free and never worry about it for the rest of the game.

Card clearly has benefits, just unsure if they are theoretical or can practically be applied, and even then, if they are better then simply upping the consistency of the deck. Just worried about it taking up two spots, plus 1-2 more in order to locate it. Also, getting set up quickly and doing the decks job is my primary aim, not nuking a field that primarily only lesser players are susceptible to.

Like I said, cards are probably good. But i'm unsure if you can consistently pull it off without Claydol/Pokemon Communications, and if running that, is better or worse then a Luxchomp deck that can apply early pressure, consistently.
