Sandslammer and Poison

I have two questions regarding Flygon's from Bcr ability

1. If it is knocked out from poison does sand slammer still go off since status happens between turns?

2. If the answer to question 1 is yes could I promote another Flygon and use its Sand slammer ability (using 2 sandslammers in one turn)
