I agree. When ALL of us actually get the cards in our hand and have had a chance to look at them, then we can judge what this set will be like.

In my opinion, as long as we've got E-series and after that we can still use in Tourneys, then I can use my Aq Scizor, and that's me happy. *SNATCH!!!*

*thinks of something to type while staring at clock*

Well, the only super good thing about this set is that it will be released right on TIME for my birthday!!5 days ahead of my b-day actually.

Boy, unless the set contained an Oak or Computer Search, you'd think all the cards were trash.

True, Wizards released sets that contained mostly junk (Neo Destiny), but they were still great, as tourneys were won with Light Golduck, and Light Dragonite gave people pause.

Dusclops may be enough reason for this set to be great, other cards are def worth experimenting with, and I am still not done playing around with R/S Yet!!!

Actually I though Neo Destiny wasn't that bad. L. Golduck, L.Dr***y, Dark Gengar(sigh.....), D. cROBAT, l.Jolteaon, were are pretty cool and I spent countless hours making decks with them.

Best sets so far:

1. Neo: Genesis (Elm, Gold, G8r, Focus)
2. Base (duh...)
3. Expedition (Copycat, nuf said)

dead stinkin last: any EX set.

What new game mechanic did these sets give us? Nothing. What kool new trainers did they give us? Nothing. What are they worth in Eon Modified? Nothing.

ok, anyone who is disapointed with this set is just plain bonkers, looking through the cards we got last night, there are going to be some nasty decks centered around alot of these pokemon.
the whole feint attack for 40 on two grass type pokemon I've seen is going to be a deck type all to itself picking off benches.

TrueGamerX: I only listed the top 3 sets, along with the worst sets.

Cattdreams: Trainers, boy. If there are no good trainers in a format, that format will die out before it is born, specifically, Exxon as Nintendo fully intends to make it. However, I am excited about the whole new cards thing, but I'm sure that somebody will find out where those cards came from...

True that while there are only a few good trainers in the set, oh wait... that was all of them ^_^; well regardless, some of the pokemon's attacks really make up for the lack of trainers so many people disire...

I WAS none too excited with R & S. I am still not impressed.

BUT there are some NICE trainers in this set *and we need rulings on a few* AND some of the pokemon are amazing.

GREAT set to draft... this set GOT my interest...

Oh well to each their own...

I don't EVER expect Base Set trainers nor Genesis pokemon =(

What's the point of a draft set? I really never understood it. I mean if the sets cards are best suited for drafts, then what good does it do u?

DID i say best suited for DRAFTS?

LC was DESGINED for sealed.

You don't get DRAFT? MAN you don't know WHAT you are losing out on... the great equalizer among formats... and the WORST cards in the game can find some of their GREATEST uses.

BUT you stand by your opinion and I stand by mine: THIS SET is cool.

Cooler that R & S.

The dark basic, is not really good. So what, it copies a supporter. It leaves itself open for attack which it cannot do any damage either. Sure it's for one colorless but it's not worth it. It has 60HP, making it a easy knock out. No resistance, F weakness. Do I have to say anything more? Oh yeah, you can discard dark energy with it. Whoopie!
Do you guys mean Sableye?

Ooooooh, I just love this set's Pokémon .
Oooooh, just look at Espeon, and then at Wobbuffet, and then at Pichu, and then at Linoone, and then at the EXs, and then at...
...well, A DUNSPARCE THAT DOES NOT S**K!!!

oooooh...

This set is absolutely aweful. The holos are a let down with there only being a few good ones, rares are all crappy other than two and I am 100% sure that the EX's will be the only reason the set will be good. Maybe the supporters but right now I do not know. Here is a breakdown of each rare/holo if anyone asks what I don't like.

Armaldo – Alright. Power hurts you too. Attack is nice. Making it a stage 2, it might see some play.
Cacturn – The body is nice. Feint attack for 2 is really nice. Very playable!
Cradily – Body is awesome. Lure poison works great with it. 3 for 50 and healing aint bad. Will see some play.
Dusclops – Judgement is a 2x flip which turns it into a mistreavus-like card only this one is a evolution and slower. They don't need to be asleep but you will only knock out 1 pokemon on average every four turns. I won't touch the card.
Flareon – First attack is just average. Flip burn and take 20. Flamethrower is bad compared to the camerupt in R/S. Use camerupt people!
Jolteon – Resistance to steel looks to be the best thing here. First attack is average, second attack is alright but you have to discard 2 lightning energy per turn for it to be good.
Ludicolo – Body is useless really. Ah, remove one damage counter. Attack is useless. It does 70 for 5, just like every other stage 2 water pokemon out there. Oh yeah, 90Hp for a stage 2 is aweful.
Lunatone – I actually thought this was a good card until I read the power closely. You have to have Solrock in play for it to work. Thats crap. Sorry. 2 for 30 is average, cosmic draw is alright but not worth playing.
Mawile – scam is a let down. They draw if you shuffle. Metal Hook on the other hand is a pretty nice attack. You choose what pokemon you want to bring up and do 20 damage to. I like it and proberly will play it against pesky bench power decks.
Sableye – Supernatural is a good first turn move but nothing else. Dark Bind is a crappy attack if I have ever seen one. No flip for paralyzed, discard a DARK energy for it.
Seviper – This is a holo? It can't do more than 20 damage! Totally aweful. Never play it.
Shiftry – I like this card. Power is awesome and works from the bench, so guess what, multiple uses people(more than one on the bench). Attack is good but can really be messed up easily. I'll test it out with Desert Shaman..
Solrock – Power is crap. Cosmic draw is alright for a few turns but not worth playing.
Zangoose – Arg another horrible card! Body is nice. First attack is average. 2nd attack is average. Kinda good if they are evolved. Not TOO bad.
Arcanine – Body is nice. Attack is crap. Don't play people!
Espeon – First attack is alright. Good staller. 2nd attack is awesome really. Totally colorless and it does 20 + 10 more for every energy you opponent has in play. Thats awesome. I see it being played with gardevour.
Golduck – Power is average. Kinda nice I guess. Special blow is pretty good for its cost and the dependablitiy of special energy cards.
Kecleon – Power is good for combating weaknesses. Attack is average. eh.
Omastar – Pull down is really awesome with desert shaman. I mean really awesome! 4 for 70 is alright for omastar.
Pichu – Eh, nothing good. No baby rule, no free retreat. Why play this?
Sandslash – Sand swirl is alright. 20 damage on average and they can't retreat. Earthquake is good. Really good really. Stage 1 is good too. Nice.
Shiftry – Faint attack is alright. Slash for 60 is alright. Play the other shiftry.
Steelix – Rage is alright. Good in some cases. Spinning tail is aweful. 4 for that attack is a laugh. 4 retreat makes this a immoble montster.
Umbreon – Confuse ray is alright. Moon impact is alright. Really its a average card.
Vaporen – Aurora beam is alright. Aqua sonic is alright. Average.
Wobbuffet – Body is nice. Flip over is funny but average.
