Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

School Continued

Maybe Canadian public schools are just better.
I got in a lot of hooey (suspended multiple times for uniform violation, called a hippie by my gr. 12 law teacher...) for having long (never longer than shoulders, even that), dyed hair. I went to a Catholic school with a semi-strict uniform policy that had serious problems (The administration consisted almost entirely of archaic, closed-minded morons stuck in the 1940s, while the teachers, specifically the arts and social science departments, consisted mostly of extremely liberal individuals and the occasional hippie) only made worse when the Principal crusaded the elimination of the Arts from the high school curriculum. All this and more in a Canadian high school. And since Mike Harris scat all over the Ontario education system it's probably worse now.

Man, reminds me of my high school, where the arts (except for the really preppy dance team) was actively crushed by the principal, mostly through forcing people to take BS courses and offering fewer electives for the arts. Ironically, the band teacher who left for another school wound up winning a national "top educator" award literally the following year. The guy was dedicated to his job, though. While the sports teams went to Europe all paid for, he was fundraising the heck out of everyone and even paying for trips out of his own salary just so the band could take a relatively short road trip.

The moment said principal was done killing off most of the arts programs, he left the school. Hit and run, faculty style.

They tried to do that to my old high school (my bro is going there now). Basically they were trying to remove one of the key drama teachers then destroy the rest of the fine arts programs in the school. The PTA voted it down though, lucky for us.

They said there was a case that went to some court in New Orleans about this and they said it was Constitiutional that we can't have long hair.

See "Tinker vs. Des Moines".

These people are teachers, and they don't know history?

my school SUCKS. if your shirt isnt tucked in when your in mrs. darby's homeroom, you get detention.

no league in kansas either

Wow, yours HS's compared to mine are not comparable. When I was going to mine, we were allowed to wear hats (yes hats), and chew gum. (yes gum). However, after I left I heard from my sis, that a few people in her grade were abusing the privilage so everyone lost it. I dont know if they reinstated the rule or if it was just for her grade thru school.

Public School.

I wore pokemon tees and shorts all through 11th and 12th grade.
I got once your shorts are too short (first day of school) and that was it. They do that on 1st day of school. Anyway yeah, your school is weird.

6:30? Jeez. Up here in Canada, school started at 8:45 and I could walk there in about 10-15 minutes.

this reminds me of when i wore a trench coat to school
everyone freaked out when i did, and i got a "random search"
if they try to force you to cut it, protest
seriously, we have the first amendment, protest is something we are quite known for
see how long it takes for them to drop the issue, i guaruntee it wont take long

Dude, Robby, I always knew your school sux but this is something else...@ my high school, we have a 'rule' against long hair, but it's only enforced when you're a guy with hair going way past your collar. We can wear near anything, as long as its not seriously distracting.
