Scizor/Cherrim - The Deck That Just Doesn't Die!

@Barkjon

No problem.

On the actual list, I was never one for all of the hand refreshers. All the supporter draw engines, though, are creative. I'm not sold on the 2 Collectors though, or the 11 Grass, but that's personal opinion.

I'd put in Pokedexes, and, the most underrated card in the format, Quick Ball. Thing is just amazing in the deck.

The matchups aren't as bad as everyone says. Your list seems specialized to Vilegar/Jumplume.

Luxchomp is not even, imo. If you get up an early belt and some Plus's, then you can turn it around and win, but I'd say Unfavorable to Slightly Unfavorable.

I've played against Kingdra quite a bit, and I will say that it is harder than Machamp, since you have few basic attackers. If you run Blaziken, however, it becomes much easier.

I'd reread your Scyther section. You should see what I mean.

Otherwise, workin on my Beedrill G article. Hope to get it up soon, and again, great job on the 1st article.

@ DonphanAtoZ - Yea, I'm very sure a better list could be created, but Scizor/Cherrim is one of the hardest decks to perfect the list. Could you be a bit more specific on the trainer line and how it's terrible?

@ Porii Sames - I like having all the hand refreshment, it's pretty useful in my opinion. I couldn't find any other way of Supporter draw outside Prof Oaks Visit. I may add another Collector in the future, but all mine are being used at the moment. And I'd add in more energy but I really don't have room. I used to play Pokedexes, but I took them out for other cards I'd rather put in there.

Yes, Luxchomp probably isn't even, but I said it's Unpredictable, it depends on both players starts and skill. I used to play Blaziken FB X, but it slowed down the deck a heck of a lot.

I'd play the Jungle Scyther reprint, but I don't have any - I may get some in the future.

Oh btw, I don't think your trainer line is terrible or anything, looks fine. Scizor/Cherrim is pretty straightforward, but the lists greatly vary between players.

Another critique is that you didn't really go over the strategy too much (even though a 7 year old could play it )

And, again, read through your Scyther part. I don't want you to replace the Scythers with the reprints, but you refer to them as Scizor in that section.

Hope to see more good articles in the future.

Thanks!

I couldn't find much of the strategy to go over... I thought that was fine honestly, I couldn't say much more about the strat.

Oh ya, typo. Whoops.

Sorry if I sound rude, but here are 2 more things I would do:

1. Split up your Kingdra matchup. Make it with Blaziken, and without. LA heavy, Prime heavy, or even.

2. Techs section needs to have more stuff, including straight trainer engine instead of supporter engine, and also possibly replacing SF Cherrims with AR Cherrims.

Ok. I actually may remove Machamp and Kingdra and just put in KingChamp, because that is what I've had most experience against.

Yea, I'll mess with the tech section.

K, hope I helped!

Make sure you say that there are at least 10 different ways to play this deck, including:

Straight Scizor/Cherrim SF

Engines:
Supporter Engine
Shuppet-esque trainer engine

With techs that include:
Blaziken FB, Landmin, Metapod, Chatot

Tank Scizor/Cherrim AR

Engines:
Supporter Engine
Shuppet-esque trainer engine

With techs that include:
Landmin, Metapod, Chatot

Mix Scizor/Cherrim AR/SF

Engines:
Supporter Engine
Shuppet-esque trainer engine

With techs that include:
Blaziken FB, Landmin, Metapod, Chatot

Tankier Scizor/Cherrim AR with Landmin/Metapod
Supporter Engine
Shuppet-esque trainer engine

With techs that include:
Chatot

I'd also mention Vileplume as a tech., and go over the potential of starters, like Sableye or Spiritomb.

Yea, I added some, but I don't want to go too overboard.

Should I combine Machamp and Kingdra match-ups?

I personally wouldn't, but it's up to you.

EDIT: Just read the updated stuff, looks fine, but is the bottom of the article the best place to put it?

jmho, though.

No. There are 3 different decks there. Would you combine Dialgachomp, Luxchomp, and Sablelock and just describe an 'SP match up'?

(Someone actually DID do that once)

If you have good data on the seperate match ups include them. If you don't, don't.

You should have at least a Machamp match up.

@Porii - IDK, I just think that would be a good place, it kinda connects with the Tech list.

@Baby mari - Yea, I'm not going to combine them.

@ DonphanAtoZ - Yea, I'm very sure a better list could be created, but Scizor/Cherrim is one of the hardest decks to perfect the list. Could you be a bit more specific on the trainer line and how it's terrible?

I'd play the Jungle Scyther reprint, but I don't have any - I may get some in the future.

Sorry for the harsh wording- Not terrible, but not optimal. Play more speed cards and hand refresh, since you don't play Uxie.

Also, you can't counter-disrupt Sablelock, because once they get Sableye out they'll just impersonate.

@DonaphanAtoZ - I'd add in Poke-Drawers or Pokedexes, I just have no idea what to take out.

@Porii - Yep, exactly.

lol, do I get mention in the thanks section?

jking jking. I'd add, however, that Victory Medals should be used with the trainer engine, because putting them in the supporter based deck you have now is just :nonono:.
