i could have

another kingdra or amu player walk in here with that nonsense without serious playtesting proof, i will kill a puppy

Tell ya what. Both sides are playing as if everything is best case scenario, NOT playtesting. Including Gliscor's side.

In the end, the deck may be hella awesome in theory, and still fail in reality. Bring it on down for BR's in KY, and we'll definitely take a swing at it with the various decks we've got here.

Oh, and PS:

Night slash - retreat means you just lost whatever you sent up against my Mewtwo Lv. X. And, ah, what about MY Mr. Mime?

>_>;

Losing stuff that is meant to be lost such as Venomoth and Mr. Mime is fine. The whole point of Venomoth is to poison you and possibly keep you asleep so it's easier to 2HKO you with Night Slash or, if there are no threats on your bench, go for a Pester and leave Gliscor active. Venomoth being KOed is inevitable. Mime is to slow fast decks such as Kingdra and AMU (best case scenario AMU, anyway) down while also essentially making the opponent waste energy drops all on one Pokemon so they have less back-up and resources in the long run while you just maintain an aggressive pace throughout. Decks with low attack cost Pokemon tend to play less energy and this is especially designed to hurt them. You really think the trade-off of your Mewtwo lv. X or any one of your Pixies for a Mime or Venomoth is hurting the Gliscor player? And what about your Mime? One more energy on Gliscor is not a big hurdle to jump over at all. I actually don't even see how you can bring up your own Mime as some kind of answer to anything when you devoted all of your first post to pointing out how Mime is totally a non-threat to AMU and Kingdra, two decks which are obviously more inconvenienced by it than most.

This deck made me start teching a 1-1 Xatu line after testing against it(Well, this, froslass, Magmortar, and poison...but mostly this)

Congratulations >.>

Just to let everyone know, this deck wasnt built to beat Kingdra. It may or may not, (personally I think it does) but I could care less about just that matchup. This deck was built to have a decent matchup against most upcoming decks. Your constant bickering about Mime is useless, wait until you see it in action. Regice? Switch to Mime. Warp? Switch to Mime. Maybe I dont have the benched Mime, maybe Im not set up at all. IMO 65-35. Scorpio.

As for Leafeon and Magmortar, I agree. Anything with a lot of HP and energy can be Scorpio's downfall. Do I know this from playtesting? No. Do I know this from common sense? Of course. Although I do have answers.

I am so glad to see that my original scrap idea has grown to something people are actually considering playing. Honestly, Im touched. But I also dont care what tier the deck is. I never use that system. Its just an attractive name for the thread.

kingdra is the upcoming deck you mentioned. sorry but you gotta be able to beat it to keep it.

ty come again .... never.

yeah kingdra is only DECENT cause it gets to attach one energy to attack. Now it has to attach 3, and it doesnt even auto OHKO Mime. Then i hit you for 60 retreat and bring a new mime. or maybe ive already poisioned you and gone to hand. then i come ut and finish u off with 60 and run to bench behind a new mime or ... anything that isnt gliscor. Its card advantage dude, you lost a kingdra, a horsea, a seadra/candy, and three energy ... i lost .... a mime? gg dude

this post is so bias to the deck its unreal. step outside the ring and take a neutral perspective... ever heard of warp point? alot of people play those, and you know what they do? they screw up your idea something r-tarded!

Kingdra doesn't come close. 80-20 They can't do ANYTHING in the match up.

In the match up, Scorpio should never attack with anything except for Night Slash. Pester leaves you open, and Burning Poison does virtually nothing, with the 1 retreat cost Kingdra has. Even with that ONE attack option, what can kingdra do? By the time a Kingdra has three energy on it to kill the Mime, Scorpio has already killed it, or will be killing it next turn. Warp and Regice can't even help with Scprio lacking a second Mime. Put up a Claydol for that matters. Kill it and watch as I don't care (if already damaged), or I attach, switch with Stark, retreat and continue Night Slashing. Donking can't be relyable either, as a Mime start shuts that down. If you argue that Gliscor is much harder to set up than Kingra, please explain how.. Kingdra is a stage 2, and Gliscor is a stage 1 LvX, they seem even to me, assuming the decks have successful trainer engines. Gliscor may be a little harder to set up, due to the 2-2 line Gliscor is split with, however Mime gives you extra time if you need it.

hahahahahahahahahahaha all of you guys make me laugh

rroaryh is speaking about reality. I would know because he is talking about my deck and our playtest games. you warpoint my Mime AND I BRING OUT THE SECOND MIME, im pretty sure we have covered this

u killed my mime, I night maintenance, roseanne/Bebes and Im back in business

and btw I play a 4-3-1 Gliscor line and do just fine, so far I have not lost a match and this is against mirror, AMU, and Kingdra

I'm guessing retreating and the Lv. X's Pokepower (BROKEN!) really gives this deck a nice umph against stuff like Kingdra and the likes. The water weakness doesn't matter if you can never actually attack Gliscor Lv. X. Great looking deck, I look forward to testhing this out. It reminds me of my old Beedrill deck, and BTW running a simple single Azelf from LA seems amazing, ensuring the Lv. X is never prized and allowing a 4-3-1 line to be run which seems amazing to me.

Great thread....I don't get on the gym much but one thing that I did notice about this deck...not that its perticularly useful...but you can "stunlock" an opponent, paralyzing them every turn. You just need 3 gligars 2 gliscors and the Lv. X. Just have 2 gliscors and a gligar down, level up, scoop it up...evolve the gligar and so on...
Just wanted to point this out as another option! XD

The 'trade off' that you're talking about is pointless, if I bring whatever I need to BACK the next turn, care of Premier ball, etc.

Mime is owned by Mewtwo Lv.X - he requires 3 energy already. One Psyburn and poor Mime is gone without a second thought. You nightslash, bring out... er... anything... and it is owned by Mewtwo Lv.X -again-. All while not even being slightly worried about my pixies. That's 2 - 1 prizes, and you have to work to get out another mime / etc, when I just premier ball / NM - Bebe out Mewtwo Lv. X again [ if I even -need- to. ]

Mime isn't a threat to -this- AMU deck. I use Mime against Kingdra myself, and it is a heck of a staller against kingdra. I don't think I argued about it against kingdra itself, albeit, with a regice, no one will care about Mime in the first place.

Like I said. I'm all for healthy play. I'm not saying Scorpio is a bad deck in the slightest. I'm merely protesting the thought that it'll WTFPWN AMU without even worrying about it. I would absolutely love to test against it.

Don't read me wrong, bro. S'all I'm saying.

can you tell me how you are getting you 3 magical energy on your mewtwo so fast? and Im not sure how many times we have to tell you this so I will put it in bold it is simply called card advantage. when we kill your Mewtwo, you lose 1 mewtwo, 1 mewtwo LvX, and any energy that was on him if he has not already attacked. you kill a Mr. Mime and we bring in our 2nd one and its not like that is impossible to do with my azelf/search cards/Claydol. you night maintenance, get mewtwo, premier ball (next turn that is) and start the long process that is taking 3 turns to attach energy when I need 2 to kill you, not to mention last I checked I can night maintenance my Mr. Mimes

none of my opinions in this thread are biased or unreal. I play kingdra ..... I love the deck. But I am mature enough to know that even though I am a rush deck and Gliscor is weak to water, they will beat me a large percentage of the time. I have heard of warp point, its uh .... called 2 mimes.

Im serious, a lot of the ideas that the haters in this thread have thrown out there have been covered at some point earlier in the thread, please read the whole thing.

Hate to rain on your parade, this sounds like a nice deck. But any respectable TurnCruel could turn Weezing back on you and crazy bench damage, so OW

I'm still getting inconsitant setups with both posted lists ... but the deck is really fun to play. Metagross tech in Kingdra is evil to Scorpio though....

like ... are they really doing that? putting in metagross? how much does that slow or even kill the deck? ugh kingdra players make me sad

Mewtwo can get 3 energy on it very quickly, the one in MD knows energy absorbtion.

yes ... but then AMU loses 4 cards and takes 1 prize and they lose turns to our 1 prize and 1 card .... its still card advantage and shame on you knowing nick doesnt know nor care about MD : P
