Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Season 2013-2014 in Europe

I hope you will enjoy then the regionals where you can miss the topcut when losing or drawing a single match! Good luck to get your CP.

Missing the cut with a single loss already happens. CPs are determined by final standing so this change has no impact at all on the number of players receiving CPs.

==========

I do not know what was said on the day.
I do not know if the plans were still subject to change.
The discussion on details, if there is to be any, should be taking place elsewhere.

To be honest, I won't believe that until an official TPCi person announces it. I've never seen a leak for big chances like this. Of course, this could have been intetionally leaked to see what we think about it before it is officially announced, but I doubt it. ^^

I don't know what would be the point in taking Magic structures. Magic has been successful for so many years because of a variety of balanced formats (compared to other TCGs), many different playable cards and a lot of interesting new mechanics every year. This is what has to be changed to boost Pokémon and I don't think there's any player who doesn't agress in this. Regarding the tournaments and OP structure, I think Pokémon as it is now is better than Magic.

The bof3 50 mins is not shocking imo. French ised to play bof3 40mins in the past.
b-o-3 with 40 min time limit is not legal by tournament rules for at least 3 years. 45 min is minimum.

- The limitation in tops doesn't change a lot, except for the ECC and Nationals.
Yes, as far as I remember, the only tournaments last season that hit top 16 or higher (and that only in masters) were ECC, Supernova Blast and all Nationals with four direct invites (except Austria).

I think even if this is true, there will be a special ruling for Nationals, I'm more concerned about ECC and other international special premier events.

Missing the cut with a single loss already happens.
It happens with 31 players to top 4, but not with a top cut bigger than 8, no matter how big, assuming the cut scales as TOM suggests.
