The problem with Target is the same now that it was when they did this with Sandstorm too.

The trading card sections at Target are provided completely by a third party vendor. From what I understand(working at Target) when something like a pack of cards is stolen it doesn't even get marked on a Target Ledger, it's independently provided by a third party.

However, the third party only visits the store 1-2 times a month. More often then not it's just normal Target employees that are putting the cards onto shelves. My store has done it with every set since Holon Phantoms.

It's more so a lack of communication between third party vendors and large retailers that cause these mishaps.

Both of our local Targets had SW theme decks out but not boosters yet (unless those already sold out?). It does affect the FLGS somewhat but I think most of the purchases at Target, Wal-mart, etc. are from players or their parents who do not go to FLGS.

Went to Target today and picked up 5 boosters... terrible pulls.

The Target in my hometown Salem didn't have any SW packs or Theme Decks, but the shelves were stocked with MT and DP stuff. :frown: No fair. I couldn't get SW early.

checked sunday at the target in San Diego (on sports Arena) they had them and the theme decks

Picked up some stuff at Target tonight. They didn't have it up front, but the back had a little SW stuff.

I checked 3 Target in SoCal yesterday and only one of them had SW. That one had boosters and starters.
I didn't get them of caurse because I get packs for $2.00 somewhere else.

I once got a Metallica cd (St. Anger) 3 days early from target.
