Hi! Player A has an active Seismitoad EX and benched Pokémon that include Sigilyph with Safeguard, and uses the attack Grenade Hammer: 130 damage. This attack does 30 damage to 2 of your Benched Pokémon. Can player A select Sigilyph as one of the two Benched Pokémon, preventing that damage from happening due to Safeguard? The Turbo Energize ruling in the Compendium would suggest yes (because Safeguard doesn't prevent being chosen as the target of the effect, just from damage or effects taking place), but I wanted to make sure.
