Serperior random battle data:

After trying to run only basics (with the wrong type of energy acceleration) I decided I would look at serperior.
I built a deck with him as the main attacker, because he can move energies around and has only 1 retreat cost.
My techs were Dodrio and Vileplume.
Also I basically ran only supporters with some candies and level balls.

To my surprise, it set up fairly fast! (especially with a pichu start) but other wise it was still a great speed.
Energy acceleration? Didn't need it, when one was about to die, I moved the energy around.
Weak points?
Fire pokemon, and all EX pokemon that can one shot this beast. Otherwise I'm healing 30-40 inbetween turns. (which means you can heal off the 80dmg before it's your opponents turn again.) Also switching makes for an easy knock out blocker.
Any way, I'm sure someone could make a better deck than me, but I found that running this guy was pretty awesome.
Could he be top deck material?
Unlikely, but you never know.

I played against this. Don't know if it was you. But I too was surprised to see how good it was.
It all depends on how fast you can set up Vileplume, because before that the opponent will have the upper hand in every way.
I played ZekEels against it and I sat the whole match and thought "don't drop a regigigs, don't drop a regigigas" because then I Would have been in troubles.
The only way I would have been able to OHKO it would be with a Mewtwo with 6-7 energies attached. If I have used Zekrom EX for Strong Volt, I could expect a massive revenge attack.
I really think adding just one Regigigas would improve the deck a lot.

@simwar: I probably did battle against you once! And I agree, I was looking for ways not to get one shot'd and the gigas is definitely a very good idea for this. I shall test it out, and I'll try to report back with my findings.

@smacktack15: reuncleus would really only speed the process of healing up, but it costs you speed and consistency. If anything I think a Pokemon Center would be more suited for faster healing, even if you opponent got to heal 20 a turn, you'd be healing 80-100dmg faster.
