if a lv x pkmn ko'ed shedinja and I active resent poke power, I put the damage counters only in the lv x pkmn or I put damage counter in the benched pkmn that doesn't level up yet???

for example, if magmortar lv x koéd shedinja and my opponent have 2 more magmortars in the bench (non lv x) I put damage counters only in the active or I put damage counter in the bencheds mag as well????

There is no card named "Magmortar LvX".
It's name is "Magmortar". The Level X is its.... level.
People just call it "Level X" for convenience.
Look at the other Magmortar card. It also have a Level right after it's name. You don't use that in its name either.

You put the damage counters on all Magmortar.
