Spectreon, shiny pokémon always come in 4-6 different variations; the one i'm in posession of happens to be in lime green. But yes, there is a red variant as well.

spectreon, while that is right, there is more then one variation of each shiny, just like shining gyra can be red, gold, or white.

What's the point in being an "I told you so" when we already broke to the conclusion that there are in fact more then one colours of shinies, and that proof has been seen. You're basically relapsing the very same proof when you do that.

In colosseum, its possible to get "injured" pokemon. The piloswine i snagged had 1 broken tusk. Didnt really notice any other "injured" Pokemon. I wonder if this is a rare occurance like Shineys?
 
Re coloured pokemon do exist, my friend has a T.dile that has one blue tail spike.

Kyogre (Pink)
zigzagoon (orange)
gardevoir (blue) :D
 
I started looking hard for shineys one week this summer.

During that week, I caught a Trapinch (now a Flygon w/ blue markings) and a Machop (now a Golden Machoke).

Finding shineys just takes concerted effort and attention to details...

HAH! 29 hours into the game and i already got my first shining ever. A blue ditto. I almost did a dean scream when i saw it. lol.
 
yay, i finally met my first LG shiney

the good newsm it was a, Meowth

the bad news, it belonged to a trainer in battle tower, so i couldnt even try to catcg it.


this means i have seen shineys in all 4 of my gba carts 1 per cart.

Saphire- Numel, wild, caught, now a Camarupt (he looks like an umbreon, black with gold rings)

Ruby- Whismer, wild, caught, now an EV trained member of my 2-2 lvl 50 team (Purple instead of blue)

Japanese FR- Nidoran male,Safari Zone, Caught, now a long lost memory, I never got a chance to trade it over before my game was stolen (it was Blue instead of Purple)

English LG- Meowth, BattleTower, trainers/couldnt catch, another bad memory (Pinkish instead of Brown, hard to tell, I woulda never known had I not seen the sparkles before the battle)
 
I think that when I get to Mewtwo I'll try for a shiny one, wish me luck, I'll need it cause in about a total of about 3,000 hours of game play I've only ran into one shiny and that was the Alakazam.
 
I've played the advance series for well over 5000 hours, and have found 68 shinies... on my english FR, I found a shiny spearow after 29 hours fairly early in the game (Only had two badges).

Thought ye mates would like to know that I caught a shinning mewtwo in about 7 hours!Of course took many tries but it was worth it. Just let ye know that it's possible to find one early. Anyway, happy hunting!
 
Yesa BioYoshi showed the tons & tons or restarting before he finally cought it......im working on getting 2 shiney snorlax's...the ones you need the flute to wake them up with......and then to the 3 legendary birds and then mewtwo....

Some people can find a shiny in the first 5 minutes and it could take years for others, I'm one of the others unforunitaly.
