Shiny Hunters

shiney pokemon are pokemon that are alternate colors, or colors that they normally arent... like Ditto is Blue instead of Pink, or Groudon is Gold instead of red.... It is a rare occasion that happens in both the GSC series, and in the RuSa series. Occasionally a wild Pokemon will pop up, with a sparkle around it, and be an alternate color... If you see it, catch it, they are very rare....

Shiney Zigzagoon is not that rare! It's only (price of normal Gamecube game)! I read it on this one topic in Electronic Games section. And it comes with a Leichi berry. Mmmm... Leichi...

You could still identify the Shinies because of their sparkle. I'm refering to Pichu, Plusle, and others. Actually, the Mew trick is well known, and you don't need a Master Ball.

I gust like to share info on mew, the rareist pokemon, and strongist pokemon in the world. not to mention the cuteist. I also have 8 out of 14 of the TGC mew cards and only 6 mote to go

when I had silver version the shinys I hade where mouth, horsea, nidorino, nidoking, and garadose :D

Don't bother looking for shinies, they are far to rare to bother. Its totally random, your chances are above 1/1,000,000,000. I found a shiny spinda a few days ago and caught it though(finally, after 900+ hours between RS and GS I finally find a shiny).

Yay... FYI Shineys are most defenitely in FRLG.... upon hours of searching the Safari Zone for a Chansey... still havent caught one of those though... I ran into a shiney blue Nidoran male... the sparkle seemed a little different, it didtn go around the Pokemon, it shot from the Pokemon falling to the ground... luckily I caught it.... Stupid Safari Zone.... well, off to find/catch Chansey...

Unfurtanately it works like a Pokeball... the biggest difference is you lose the ability to cause/inflict status and lower HP tp make it easier... You can throw rocks/food, but Chansey generally run from food, and somethimes rocks.... They dont generally stick around long, though I was lucky to get 1 to stay for about 9 or 10 turns, but even still, it didnt stay in the Safari Ball.....

But on that note, I got Nidoran with only 1 Safari Ball, without food/rocks....

Shineys caught (not counting hatched GSC) by me....

Ledyba-Silver
Drowzee- Silver
Numel- Saphire
Whismur- Ruby
Nidoran male- Fire Red (Japanese of course)

that doesnt count the numerus Pokemon I hatched, or the Ditto I got by doing Gyarados trick in RBY, nor does it include the Red Gyarados you receive every game in GSC. 5 shinies is a pretty good catch, but note this was in 1500+ hours of GSC, and 800+ hours of RuSa and FR... so 5 in over 2300 hours.... man I need a life...

I'll list my shineys at some point. But in any case, There are tactics for finding shiny pokémon. I listed them a few pages back.
MEW MASTER: Welcome to the boards. Has anyone ever seen a shiny mew?

I have, but only with Game Shark... it is blue instead of Purple... looks like the Mew at the begining of the original Pokemon series, first season during opening.....

If you list Shineys, dont list ones bred in GSC, my list woulda taken a page and a half... okay not that many, but I had over half of the GSC Pokemon shiney through Duping and breeding with Ditto.

FYI on FRLG, when you are veiwing the Pokemon that is shiney, or you suspect is shiney, the box that the Pokemon is in on the staus screen (stats, moves, nature, ect..), it has a star in the upper right hand corner.

you can't just trade your pokémon and it becomes shiny. you have to actually find it shiny.

as far as a cheap game shark, try either Game Stop/EB Games, or EBAY....

lol... maybe we should buy/sell shiney on Ebay to highest bidder, lol....

Ive got a shiney Volbeat and my friend has a shiney treeko that he got when he was breeding his netbattle team hahaha it looks really cool too...it has a blue tail and is a blue-ish green

I havnt really been on this site in over a month. The last time i was on this site and this particular forum, this topic was ok. i was comparing the amount of replies in my current post to the number of posts in this one. I dont really think that i can compare now. I have to hand it to Metagross_X. you sure do know how to start a topic.

(says to self) good lord, 200 posts, ill never compare. :(
