Simple DRE question

Hi!

I just need to be sure... If I attatch a Double Rainbow Energy to, say a Grovyle... and next round want to evolve into Sceptile ex... What happens then...

a) I evolve and DRE is discarded or
b) I can't evolve or
c) (not likely) DRE stays...

A simple answer should do the trick.
 
Evolve and discard DRE. Anytime DRE is attached to a Basic (your evolved Pokemon get de-evolved)) or EX Pokemon, the DRE has to be discarded.
 
Heres an extra rule. You cannot move a DRE onto a basic or ex just to get it discarded.
