Hey! While mentioned very briefly, it was mentioned nonetheless. That is, Smash Brothers will be fighting to be bundled with the Revolution! A new Smash Bros.--who knows what new jazz could be added to this all ready incredible franchise?

Thoughts? Expectations?
 
Source? The closest thing I've heard is that online Smash Bros. was announced to be in the launch lineup during Nintendo's conference on Tuesday.
 
During the unveiling of the Revolution, pay close attention to what they guy says (it is hard to understand him through his accent, but pay close attention), he says something like "We are striving to have Smash Brothers bundled with the Revolution." Please note that isn't a direct quote, but I recorded the unveiling via DVR, so if you want, I can get you a direct quote tomorrow.
 
That part's what I'm talking about. He said it'd be ready for launch.

EDIT: Just watched it again on Gamespot.

We are already working on several WiFi titles, each starring one of our key franchise characters. One or two WiFi games will be ready for launch, and I am pushing our teams to make sure Smash Bros is one of them.

Heehee, I'm waiting exclusively for this game. It'll probably be global multiplayer smashing action. Myabe they'll actually have 3D maps instead of the 2 and 1/2D ones. I can't wait!
 
Wow we soo need a new Smash Bros.!!! How long was it that the oldest one came out? 2 years? 3 years? 4 years? 5 years? Just checked and if what I looked at was true then appr. 4 years. WOW. They better have someone even FASTER then Fox in this game. Lol I just LOVE the speed. And perhaps a Kirby character besides Kirby himself? Any new characters would be great! Fire Emblem, Pokemon, yup. Of course they would probaly have to limit it to a resonable amount but hopefully larger then last time!^_^ Harder and funner event matches!? 3D? Ohhh I just can't wait!:biggrin:
 
well u know I think the smash bros. will be the game that will usher nintendo into being a multiplayer online as halo did for xbox. Some characters I would like to see is prolly will be in the series is Raichu will be in it and im pretty sure king k. rool and diddy kong will make their debut in the game. As for kirby franchise im pretty sure metaknight will come from it and maybe even king dedee.

I would like to see blaziken and charmeleon pokemon wise be in the game playable. But one things for sure nintendo is geettin it right as their company is finally starting to move in the right direction w/ great console, looks and capabailities and all. Not too mention if Mario and Smash bros are going to be launch titles among many others to be known Nintendo will be able to gain ground on the console front. AS a Nintendo FAn for my entire life well gamin wise lol :biggrin: I can clap for that :clap:
 
Instead of adding more characters from the same game, why not add more from other games, or atleast even out the same number of characters from the same games. We have many more Mario characters than we have Metriod. I'd like to see Kid Icarus in the game, or another character from Ness's game.

Yeah that always has upeseted me. I ESPECIALY want more Fire Emblem characters. :cool: Yes ys aother Ness character please. Do I hear... Poo? xD I love his name he's suposed to be some karate dude. Meta Knight would be awesome for Kirby.
 
Fire Emblem would make a good fighting game on it's own, but yeah, there are so many types of characters in Fire Emblem. Meta Knight would be awesome for Kirby. You could even do some of those kongs from Donkey Kong 64, or have the frog from Starfox be playable. I think the characters I like the least are the pokemon. I don't see Pokemon as a nintendo franchise like mario or zelda.
 
Slippy the frog would be pointless. He would probaly suck in Smash Bros. He's only good at his smarts. So he would have like only bombs and stuff. >_< How fun is that?! Yeah Mario is much more popular then Pokemon. Wich explains why Mario has SO many characters in SSB. But then why would Pokemon be your least favorite. Earth Bound never even came out. Even Pokemon is more popular then that. xD
 
Slibby the frog could be like any frog with tongue attacks and the ability to jump higher and further than any character. I dunno, it's a better idea that adding a kid link or a exact duplicate of marth named roy.

Exact... duplicate...?

ROFL. Not on your life... Marth and Roy are VERY different.
 
Okay, not exact, but they are very similar. Most of their moves are similar only with a few differences that tell them apart. It's like Ganadorf and Captain Falcon.
 
Yeah and Maria and Luigi and LINK AND YOUNG LINK Fox and Falco. Come on. Roy and Link are very different with VERY different advantages. And perhaps you have never played a StarFox game before. Slippy has TERRIBLE stats. Just go out and rent a StarFox game any StarFox game. Seriously.
 
Well Peach doesn't look like that good of a fighter too, but she was put in the game. Also, I wasn't talking about Roy and Link, I was talking about Roy and Marth.
 
Okay I supose you have a point with Peach... Because she isn't a fighter at all and yet somehoww she is a really good character in SSBM. Okay I don't kno think what you want.X_X I just think Slippy is fine as much as he appears in the game in SSBM.
 
Isn't Slippy one of Fox's allies?

And if we have to compare, Fox and Falco take the cake. They have the exact same attacks, just a bit different stats.
