Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Skittles !Taste the Rainbow!

I used skittles today and was impressed by the deck. I went 2-3 but that was a result of luck that would make a leprechaun combust at the sight of it.

Loss 1: Basic is Ho-oh, i start with 6 other Energies, Draw into 2 energies and a windstorm. Miss the Coin flip. GG.

Loss 2: I go first, Sentret; my hand is Togekiss, Ho-oh, Rare candy, Rossanne's, and Celios. I have Togepi and Sentret with an energy down. The wager on the first turn. I lose, draw 3 energy, and can't dig out.

Loss 3: Called on time on my opponents turn. Had it been called on my turn i would have won.

Other then bad draws, the deck functioned perfectly. In both my wins, it worked exactly as it should, i suppose i should have just 6 pile shuffled twice before each round as opposed to once.

Kudos on the deck, hope to run it at more locals.

Well I am dedicated to the game and I find it awesome, so stop making offensive comments towards me Mad Hatter. Why do you always have a go at me? You have annoyed me, made me extremely upset and deeply offended me. You should not be on this forum if you do not have the spirit that others have - a passion and desire to play and love the pokemon card game
:mad::eek::frown::mad::mad::pokeball::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire: Fire type Pokemon are awesome!

Well, the way I see it Kiki, Putting this:
Donkfest, Donkfest!
Fire type pokemon are awesome!
Is spam, it had nothing to do with the deck and You just basically said it's bad byputting that...
by replying with wow spam ftl, im saying... well that post you made.. was spam... If you can explain to me HOW IT WASN'T spam I will gladly delete that part.

And don't you EVER EVER question my spirit, passion, desire, or love for this game!! I Don't see you trying to make articles or post decks that could help the newer players or a deck that could offer a slight change in the metagame. They way I see it, posting spam doesn't show much Desire or passion for this game, now does it? I think not.

If you want to continue this, I suggest we finish it over PM's so we do not.. SPAM.. the thread, seeing as our argument has nothing to do with helping the deck at all.

Yeah, don't mess with MadHatter, Kiki Lava Apple Eruption. Bad idea IMO. I've tried before and I regret doing so... :nonono:.

Anyways, what about taking out a Pachirisu for 1 Tauros CG?

Mad Hatter lives up to his name and is mad with me!
Yeah cheers, alright mate, I did not mean to seem that vicious. I am actually a very friendly person, believe it or not and I was just picking up on the fact that you said you were not that serious about the PTCG. I was just trying to express my passion for the game and will not do this again. I don't feel like making intelligent comments about how to improve a deck because people ignore my ideas and make their own suggestions instead of complimenting or criticising mine.
Fire type pokemon are awesome :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:
Passion and desire burn inside the volcanoes of my heart! No let's not take this to PMs, as I am actually quite a skilled Pokemon Crd player. I could beat you in a game anytime!
The criticism I have made is constructive because the deck cannot beat certain decks at nationals in my opinion and I think it needs completely rebuilding.

Wow man... I was fine with your post until this:
No let's not take this to PMs, as I am actually quite a skilled Pokemon Crd player. I could beat you in a game anytime!

And I know you edited it to include that because I read the post before and that wasn't there.

What makes you think you can beat me in a game anytime? The fact you are skilled? I got some news for ya bud, you aren't the only skilled player.

kiki lava whatever the heck your name is, it's one thing to post something spammy and completely UNconstructive on a thread... but then to come back with completely stupid remarks like claiming hatter deeply offended you, claiming you're some awesome pokemon player and then saying that what you said was constructed criticism... wow. I don't know who you are, but judging by your dyslexic 5 year old's smattering of smilies you make on every post, I SERIOUSLY doubt you have the skills you claim you do.

ranting aside... I'd cut one rowan from your latest list for a straight draw card (probably steve)

You have not made an criticism about the deck at all.

You insulted the OP
You have not posted any criticism. If you want to be taken seriously as a poster here on the Gym then do not post spam like your first post, and do not just tell us what you think without explaining it.

How does it need to be rebuilt?
What decks can it not beat?

Don't spam. You want to say the the deck sucks? That is fine, so long as you have reasons to support your opinion

I wish Maggy were a basic and it's body also worked from the deck

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

and kiki lava apple whatever... I agree with them. you spammed, made stupid remarks, spammed, didn't critisize anything, spammed, didn't say what kind of decks beat it, and spammed even more.

A note to everyone posting in this thread. Keep your posts related to the topic which is Skittles. If you feel that someone has gone off-topic or is posting unhelpful or rude remarks the correct course of action is to report the post so that the moderators can handle the situation.

What are folks thoughts on Skittles as a play next format? Cess will be gone but Kingdra will see lots of play. Maybe Bubble Coat (removes weakness) as a tech since there will be no Windstorm?

Next format will all have Snowpoint Temple (+20 HP to basic pokemon) & Energy Patch (flip a coin - heads you attach an energy from discard to one of your pokemon). Personally I would rather have Patch than Rotom even with the flip.

This format I agree that Rotom is an interesting option.

Hatter, it was nice to meet you this weekend. My Son used Skittles, altered list we have been testing, this weekend and went 5-3 in Seniors. One loss was literally a coinflip which caused him a loss and missing top cut of 32. He got 34th overall. Most games he expalined to me weren't donks but well timed and placed energy. Just wanted to lyk how it is doing!! Afte rotation, I hink this deck will only get stronger honestly do to energy acceleration.

Take Care Hatter!

Yeah, I see this deck being much better in a DRE/Scramble-less format.

Energy Patch looks interesting...but flippy. Snowtemple Mountain looks interesting, but not so useful for the whole deck.

I definitely think Rotom should be a tech in any Skittles deck. With Snowpoint temple, it has 80HP (might be 90, can't remember base hp), so it might survive two attacks. Two attacks means that Rotom can bring back 4 energy, which could definitely make or break the game. I would run Pachi in here too, just because Call Energy can definitely get in the way of Togekiss's poke-power.

I'm thinking Call Energy > Pachi, as long as you do a straight replacement for them, meaning you would run 22-23 energy. Look at it this way: Togekiss will skip both Call and Pachi. However, Pachi wastes an energy to use CFF and wastes bench space. All of the non-Pachi starts are bad in the deck, but Call makes them much better. If you have Call attached to Ho-oh, it's still doing 60 if you attach 3 more energy.

I think something like this could be pretty interesting:

3 Ho-oh
3-2-3 Togekiss
2-2 Claydol
2 Rotom

4 Call
19 Assorted basics

3-2-3 Togekiss, I agree 100%.
2-2 Claydol is going to be staple in every deck next format (i fear)
2 Rotom - 1 or 2 could be debatable, but I do see it being useful.
3 Ho-oh - Debatable, but I agree.

I do feel a single Phione would be a good card in here, for the small instances where you do start with it. Or maybe, some of the new TM that has Phione's ability (only it can evolve your active too according to translation).

I do feel the deck will need techs of some sort to get past that BAD-GOOD-GREAT barrier that it's stuck on good right now (imho). Techs to improve it's Empoleon matchup (i see it staying around next format with a very good 2 energy attack), and Sceptile/grass decks (I see Sceptile being popular). Togekiss can run techs better than any other deck in the next format (imho) since it isn't forced to only work with grass pokemon (Sceptile).
