Would these sleeves be good for me to use for nationals, or should I buy new sleeves?

Thought better to ask then to get put into a situation where ill have to get sleeves fast if they say my sleeves are not okay.

They have slightly white markings on the side (thats how they came, when I first opened my dragon shield sleeves)

I've never been to Nationals, so take this as you will, but my suggestion is to not risk it. Heck, don't even risk using 1 pair of sleeves the whole day. I'm going to bring at least 5 sets of sleeves. Will I use them all? Depends on whether I top cut or not, but still, you'd best be prepared.

As Raen said, it's not uncommon for people to go through multiple sets of sleeves in an event like that. 3 is average from what I've heard.

Do your sleeves look good? To me, yes, they look fine. But it's whoever ends up doing the deck check that needs to like them. AND, if you split even one in any of the matches, you need to resleeve pretty much the whole deck. Some people say that spares are all you need, but in a lot of cases the spares don't match the wear of the rest of the deck, meaning you end up with 59 well-worn sleeves, and one shiny new sleeve. Marked card? Oh yes. So, plan to resleeve once or twice. If you're a heavy shuffler, maybe more. The higher the tournament, the more picky they can be.

Any sleeve that's not solid color or official Pokemon sleeves are forbidden. Of the official sleeves, I know of only one set that's forbidden - the Walking Starter sleeves, since they don't have a solid border.

As for recommendations, Ultra Pro and Dragonshield are the two most popular. I use Ultra Pro, and I can usually use the same sleeves for months without switching. I never do any destructive shuffling, though. I almost always pile shuffle.

I tend to do those hard shuffles, I think i'd be safe by buying ultra pro as extra's for nationals and to do those pile up shuffle, as the sleeves won't break much, does that sound good?

I would resleeve, those ones you have seem too reflective. But I wouldn't worry too much, unless you are dramatically out of the rules, the most that will happen is that they will ask you to resleeve.

PS at nationals they are ridiculously strict, I had to resleeve 3 times, each time into brand new sleeves that suddenly became unplayable after a couple rounds. If you expect to get far, expect to resleeve, but they provided me with new sleeves each time so I didn't have to pay a ridiculous amount of cash.

KMC, Dragon Shield, or Ultra Pro. Depends what you like best and what you want to spend. They're all good enough to use.

No artwork except for official Pokemon sleeves. The colour along all 4 edges has to be identical.

Start the tournament with new sleeves and be prepared to re-sleeve twice (just to be on the safe side). It makes sense to by a few packs of the same sleeves in case you just have to change a few.

Don't use any Prerelease sleeves apart from Lucario, Rotom, or Gigas.

I'd take two pairs. If you Top and they don't find your sleeves satisfactory at that point, they'll give you a brand new set and sit you down at a table for you to resleeve. I got a brand new set of Giratina sleeves when I topped.

You realise they don't HAVE to do that, yes?

They could just as easily tell you to play without sleeves.

i wouldn't continue to expect to be provided sleeves if told to resleeve, as OP prerelease sleeves are no longer produced and will eventually no longer be available...

Good point. So I dunno if they will still or not. Well, I think you ought to take two pairs of sleeves. One for Swiss, one for Top Cut. Make sure they're both brand new when you start.

Please just spend the 10 bucks and buy new ones (Dusknoir)

Been to 2 big scale tournaments and laced at both. They're lucky, AND durable. Much like a Shellos!! :)

If you shuffle hard, Dragonshields are the way to go. Used cities-BR spring, and nobody's said anything. Of course, for nats I'll change them. The problem when you try to shuffle these smoothly is that they will stick. So you're actually better off going agro XP

If you don't shuffle hard, Ultra Pro is great. They're really smooth on the back, and they won't get damaged if you shuffle them smoothly, obviously.

I've never had KMC. So I don't know what they're like.

PR sleeves might be good for some rounds of swiss if you just opened them. I haven't used any of the good PR sleeves (Gigas, Rotom, Lucario) but I have a pack of rotom sleeves in hand I can use.

I shuffle hard so I go with KMC.
Like everyone says Ultra Pro are cheap and easy to find but I've had tons of bad luck with them. My first set broke after one game and I had to break out my other set.
Old Prerelease sleeves are super durable I've had mine for at least 4 months and they haven't torn yet.

Since people are talking good sleeve types; I've tried TONS of sleeves, and have only just discovered some I like, that being the White Super KMCs. They are really fantastic.
