I am not really sure of using this deck just yet, because I have pretty much no chance against Plume or a Spiritomb start but here it is:

Pokemon: 21
2 Kabuto (MD,AR)
4 Kabutops (AR)
3 Omanyte (MD,AR)
3 Omastar (AR)
2 Aerodactyl (AR)
2 Dialga g
2 Dialga g Lv. X
2 Regice (LA)

T/S/S: 23
4 Dome Fossil
4 Helix Fossil
4 Old Amber
2 Junk Arm
3 Warp Point
1 Expert Belt
4 Fossil Excavator
2 Bebe's
4 Candy

Energy: 14
10 Fighting
4 Water

STRATEGY:
Start with dome fossil, if u go first, you get an attacking Kabuto due to either kabuto's abilities. If you go second, you can candy into kabutops and discard a fossil from your hand to do 90 (belted) for a single fighting energy. Later on in the game (preferably when you have two prizes left) send out the benched omastar and do some damage for one water and a colorless energy card, 30+ for each fossil in the discard. 50+ belted. Now, Aerodactyl gets fossils in your hand, dialga g X is a counter for Plume and Tomb, and Regice is just to boost damage output with Omastar. I dont think this deck could be competetive right now, but that is why I need help. Please post.

Looks ok. It's gonna be a little difficult to a candy that soon every match, but other than that it looks pretty solid. I suggest you play something that searches out trainers, so you have more of a chance to get candy. I also suggest at least two metal energies just incase your forced into using dialga

Rare Candies are not really needed. The only Stage 2s that you have are Kabutops and Omastar. Their fossils have a PokeBody that makes them play more like Stage 1s.

For example:
a)Dome + Candy + Fighting E + Kabutops + Fossil = One turn 70

b) Dome + Fighting E + BTS + Kabutops + Fossil = One turn 70

Both take 5 cards. The only difference is that one is reusable, can not be trainer locked, and lets you use your useful Stage 1 PokePower in the mean time.

Why not just run bts and candy?
Candy is definetly needed, but bts is too, so.....

I don't have any time right now, but I'll modify this for you tommorrow. Btw, maybe 4 bts 2 candy?

How is candy needed? If BTS does all it can do and more, there is no real reason to waste deck space on it. I would see it possibly being used to cut back on the Stage 1 parts of the Stage 2 lines, but Kabuto and Omanyte are incredible in this type of deck.

*Sigh*
I'm not saying candy over bts, I think 4 bts is needed, but candy is still important. Just not as much. I'm suggesting 2 candy 4 bts.

Sorry, my post was poorly written. The point that I was trying to make is that not only is BTS better than Candy in this deck, but that once BTS is played, Candy becomes a dead draw and a waste of deck space. (Was that better?)

it not a waste due to that at there are times that you dont have the stage one, or as you have it with dialga the body doesnt work and then you would have to use candy

Thanks to the Pokebody, as long as the Stage 1 is in the deck you can easily get it. If it is prized, I would rather have an Azelf instead of a Candy. Sure, Dialga stops the Body but deafen also stops the Candy. At least there is always the possibility that you played BTS before they started deafening. If not, then BTS is in the same boat as Candy. To sum it up, the possibilities where you would want to have a Rare Candy are far too few to earn it the deck space.

you need uxie if you are going to draw your trainers there is no draw power in the deck so get some uxies and maybe seeker for turn one win with kabutops but it is a great deck :D

I think it could be seen by some that BTS is less important due to the amount of decks that run it. Sure those decks run BTS and Candy as well, but from your argument it seems BTS is better, so more decks are likely to run if. If your opponent plays a Stadium that you can take advantage of as well, then good, your problem is solved. Candy's a good alternative if your opponent is playing a S2 deck as well and you don't want to let them get the upper hand, but I suppose it all depends on personal preference, the deck you're playing, and your metagame.

Like neumann44 mentioned, I think some more search engines could be added. Your only means of searching out cards are Fossil Excavator and Bebe's, which are all Supporters and thus would take 6 different turns. There are quite a few cards out there that many people use as staples and draw / search engines. I wouldn't know which would be best however, the only Fossil deck I've ever attempted was Armaldo. Take a look, play around, and see what works best, I guess.

My only question is how you're going to make sure you start with what you want as consistently as possible. From my knowledge, Fossils count as TRAINERs before they're counted as Basic Pokemon (only when it is played). How will you search it out in the early game and keep it?

Oh, I wasn't saying that Rare Candy is a bad card. On the contrary, I love Rare Candy. Just not in a deck centered around Kabutops/Omastar because of Rock/Water? Reaction. That PokeBody makes them play a lot more like Stage 1s than Stage 2s which is why BTS is superior. However, not giving your opponent an advantage is a good point that I completely overlooked. Whether or not that makes Rare Candy worthwhile is a different story. Like you so wisely said, it's personal preference.

Anyways, I would try to slim down on the number of fossils you have and up the number of Junk Arms. You won't be needing THAT many fossils for Omastar and Junk Arm will help for Kabutops. Also, definitely add some Uxies and maybe some SSU. With the amount of trainers you run, you will be able to burn through your hand really fast.

As a side note, I did make a thread about fossils once upon a time. I won't say it is anything fantastic, but it is still beter than nothing. Try googleing "Fossils Plausible?" to find it.

I'd cut the DGX line to 1-1, seeing as you don't -need- the 2-2 Line in here. You'll also want Azelf + Warp energies if you plan on running it.
