Hi all got a question for any one willing to answer, When smeargles poke power is used it says pick one of your opponents supporters and use its effect. question is do i have to do the effects requirements, example would be like proff juniper says discard your hand draw seven cards, or engineers adjustments says discard an energy card draw 4 cards do i have have to discard on either card? and like BeBe's Search do i have to put a card on top my deck? the only reason i ask is because i heard something on this. i guess to clear it up do i do EXACTLY what the supporter says or are there ANY example's anyone can give that i can choose to do or not to do. thanks for any and all help!

Basically, you have to do as much as possible.
You HAVE to pick one of your opponents supporters and use it. You can't say "Nevermind, I wont use it."
In case of Juniper, yes, you have to discard your hand and draw 7 new cards.
Case of Engineer...you HAVE to discard an energy card unless you don't have any. If you don't discard, you don't draw either
Case of Bebe is much the same of Engineer.

Basically, you must always do exactly as the supporter says. But if you cannot fulfill one of the conditions, then the card becomes pretty much void.

Actually, regarding Engineer's, you can claim to not have an energy in your hand, and not use its effect. The contents of your hand is not public knowledge. If you do, however, it is voided as a supporter choice, like Twins when you're ahead or even on prizes.

But for clarification, a "void" supporter whose conditions can't be fulfilled cannot be chosen, so you can't "use" it to avoid another supporter that you can use, such as Judge.

What about with Twins? does he still have to have more prizes then me?

As mentioned above, you cannot use Twins unless you have more remaining prizes than your opponent.
