For anyone who is definately coming to this event, if you go to the Holiday Inn website, you can get a discount on a fully prepaid (no cancellation) room for $64/night (2 dbls/non smkg room). Nice to save a few more bucks when you know you are going to be there.

The event starts too early for the drive down. And a 5-hour trip one way is miles I so don't want on my car. I also dislike sharing hotel rooms. Bad enough I have to for Origins, but that's a 4-day event so I don't have a choice.

I probably shouldn't ask this: is the hotel not full yet?
