Considering my response was to someone talking about an RR-On format, lets break that down real fast.
"Lux X is what wins the gdos matchup for luxchomp". Luxchomp? Dead without Cyrus engine. Gdos? Dead without Gdos.
"It is also used to attack in plenty of other situations." Sure, in Luxchomp, a deck build around supporting it. Did it attack when it was teched into Jumpluff? Or Beedrill? Not often, if ever.
"Its is more easily searched for". Still takes two cards to search, and the ability to promote Luxray and level him up, which some decks can't always manage.
"It isn't affected by trainer lock." Only really solid statement thus far, but we will need to see how prevalent trainer lock really is. Vilegar as an offensive deck is dead without the SF 'gar, and Lostgar didn't do nearly as well as it's hype suggested. Will Vilemagius work? Will other decks want to abuse Vileplume, giving up their own gusts? We don't know any of this until we really get into the new format.
