  • 17.30-23.00: early registration for the SuperNova Blast (for all 3 the categories)

    A special, non-premier tournament for all those players who want to “warm up” for the big competition, meet new friends from all over Europe and even win exclusive prizes!

    Registration from 5.30 pm – Tournament starts at 6 pm – Single game swiss + top cut – Entry fee 5€

  • 10.30: round 1 starts (for all 3 the categories)

Sunday, November 3rd 2013: Main event – Day 2
  • 8.30-9.00: check-in for the players in top cut
  • 9.15: top cut starts
During the day, various side events will be organised for the people not playing in the Main Event

Where

Università Europea degli Sport della Mente”, (European Brain Sports University) Via Sant'Uguzzone 8, Milano

Description: A true sport structure made to practice all those activites that can be considered to all effects “brain sports”. The goal of the UESM is to reevaluate “the game” at 360° like a forming activity and useful for growing, more than obviously give a “home” to the game aficionados.

Format


The tournament will be played using the standard format for all the Pokémon Organized Play events, ie. Constructed Modified.

 In a Constructed event, players come to the tournament with a 60 cards deck. The card used to make the decks come the player's personal collection.
Decks can't contain more than 4 copies of the same card, with the standard exception of Basic Energies.

Some cards can present additional restrictions, that are treated as exceptions at the 4 copies rule. The games are played with 6 Prize cards.

In a Modified event, cards are only allowed to come from the following sets:

B&W – Next Destinies

B&W – Dark Explorers

B&W – Dragons Exhalted

B&W – Boundaries Crossed

B&W – Plasma Storm

B&W – Plasma Freeze

B&W – Plasma Blast

B&W – Dragon Vault

Structure


NOTE:: since Official Tournament Rules for the 2013-14 season have yet to be released, this information may be subject to changes.

Participants are divided into 3 divisions, dependent on the year of birth.
  • Juniors Dvision: born in 2003 or after
  • Seniors Division: born in 1999, 2000, 2001 or 2002
  • Masters Division: born 1998 or before

The tournament will be played using the Age Modified Swiss system, which pairs player in each match for a set number of rounds. Each pairing is randomly calculated by the Tournament Operations Manager software, and the results of players each round influence their pairings for the following rounds.
Based on the number of players for each age category, a set number of Knockout games, to which only the top players of each division will have access.
The Swiss rounds will be played in best-of-three 50 minutes matches plus 3 additional turns, the knockout stage will be played in best-of-three 75 minutes matches plus 3 additional turns.
