This is my version of the typical venusaur, swalot deck.
The strategy is to use nidoqueen's invitation to setup not as much much for attacking.
i played this deck with my brother and it works fast but energy is always a problem.
    it needs work....

    pokemon:
    3- bulbasaur cg (growth)
    2-ivysaur cg
    3-venasaur cg

    1- luvdisc cg

    2-gulpin cg
    2-swalot cg

    3-nidoran df
    2-nidorina df
    3-nidoqueen df

    energy:
    14- grass
    3-boost
    2-dre
    1-scramble

    trainers:
    3-tv reporter
    1-lake boundary
    1-speed stadium
    2-night maintenance
    1-windstorm
    2-celios
    1- holon mentor
    1-copycat
    2-rare candy
    1- super scoop up
    1-quick ball
    2-stevens advice
    1- switch

I don't see how you have any energy problems, seeing that you do have 20. Maybe you just need something to draw cards. I would try to max out on Stevens and TV Reporters. Also, you should replace the windstorm with a Scott.

i don't see this deck is useful but is great at losing.

Focus more on Vensaur, less on Swalot, which probably will never be useful.

    pokemon: 21
    3- bulbasaur cg (growth)
    2-ivysaur cg
    3-venasaur cg

    3-trapinch HP
    2 Vibrava DF
    3 Flygon HP

    2-nidoran df
    1-nidorina df
    2-nidoqueen df

    energy: 16
    8- grass
    3-boost
    3-dre
    2-scramble

    trainers: 23
    2-copycat
    2-night maintenance
    3-windstorm
    4-celios
    4- holon mentor
    4-rare candy
    2-stevens advice
    2- switch

The list could get much better of you drop the queen too.
