I want to keep this short, and to the point.

If you have not seen their videos of matches, you must.

If you have not heard the commentary by some of the best players, and nicest people the game has ever known, you must.

I am proud to say that we have allowed them to video matches from back in their infancy, and now their commentary and coverage will rival any game and any company today.

Pooka, Pram, and all the rest....the Yeti thanks you and your bretheren for starting this trend, and making the game even more enjoyable for the rest of the country!!!

Your commentary helps educate the newer players watching, and does not "pander" to the level, where you give tips and strategies that keep even experienced players playing with you, second guessing your commentary, and excited to see what comes next.

GREAT job guys.

If you all have not had a chance to thank this team of young men, please do so.

I will be seriously impressed if they do not in the near future (next couple of seasons) receive some form of official recognition. They're that good, and not by a little bit.

I am not sure if they will ever get "Official Recognition" but the fact that Pokemon allows them to do matches at Nationals and Worlds I think speaks volumes about the respect it has for them and their contribution to the community.

Kind of like this site we are on now. Has some official recognition with the compendium and other posts (Ask the Masters, or some such nonsense LOL). You know, we have to appreciate all the work that goes into the gym once in a while too. What a resource that has kept this game going even through its lean years, with a place for us to come and share our love of the game, and to know there are others out here just like us.

l love being able to see matches by some of the best players in the world. The commentary is wonderful. I would love it if they replaced this years commentators for the last worlds match.

They do tons of great work, and I would also promote donation. It's going right to the guys you see on camera, and you can rest assured that they will use it to promote the game.

Thanks Pram, Pooka, Drew, Crimz, and now The GWH. You guys got me into the game and are keeping me playing!

Their level of professionalism when it comes to in-game commentary is something the makers of this game could have never wished for in a million years. Pooka and Pram should be on salary from TPCI. That's how good they are.

Absolutely, their commentary makes the recorded games into more than just two people playing cards. The history they know about the players in the game is incredible. Plus, they know the cards and matchups inside and out which really leads to some great insight into how the match is going.

This is already borderline "advertising", but in this case we'll allow it.

Doing more for the game than the company themselves
Come on now, give credit where it is due.

TPCi oversees leagues and supports them with badges. We just got badge cases. This year, the badges are in their actual shapes instead of one standard shape for all 8 badges. This is all free of charge. Yes, the promos stink but they have been good in the past. A lot goes on in the world of promo selection.

The Top Cut fills a niche and does it really well. I won't belittle their efforts. I think it is unfair to compare the two. Even where their content overlaps, The Top Cut offers specialized, indepth content while pokemon.com is more general and it looks like TPCi likes pokemon.com to be a general website.

What I will say is that it is a shame when TPCi tries to raise the bar that they disregard the tallent pool at their fingertips and instead uses people with less experience.

These guys are the standard-bearers for Pokemon TCG gameplay videos. All the rest of us (including yours truly) can only hope to mimic their success. And, heck, I've done my fair share of mimicry, believe me.

They have the best equipment out there currently, the smartest and most well-spoken people using them, and most importantly the trust of the Organizers that they're doing this for.

I only WISH that I had half of their abilities with a microphone. And an appropriate amount of time to perform the commentary.

Keep it up guys, you are the best in the world at this!

I think thetopcut.net has been doing something important for growing the games: turning players into local celebrities. This just scratches the surface on what they're doing.

The only advertising that we do is the one banner for Pokemon at the top of the page.
We don't advertise for anyone.
If they ask us, we'd be happy to include them in the links on the front page, reciprocally.
But we don't do advertising. For anyone.
