just my 2 cents, i would would suggest some pont/lookers/judge to refresh yourhand. You are running a lot of cards that give you consistency, but after a while you might get into a dead hand, so i would suggest 1-2 of those cards to refresh your hand and mb draw into a fire and start with a fresh hand.

I think that, recovery wise, you only need one of either Fisherman or Palmers. I'd choose Palmers.

Palmers does nothing to help fix the situation that the deck faces during the time in which it recovery is needed. I prefer Fisherman for refilling the Fire Energy in hand and giving some much needed draw.

^Good point. I'd personally suggest a Judge or a Cynthia's Feelings for hand refreshment.

Dead hands are either non-existent or at the start of the game. The only time it matters is at the beginning, as a dead hand at the game's opening already means the deck will lose. Unfortunately, running enough of them to make the chance of drawing them in such a scenario reasonable (3-4) would likely be an amount that would get in the way. Plus, one would have to rely on not having a supporter in use at the time already.

I think maybe 1 or 2 could be a good idea, though. What would you think of putting them over?

Also, Judge and Cynthia's give too small a new hand most of the time - I'm personally going with PONT here.

I'd say 2 PONT put on for -1 SSU and -1 Ninetalez, maybe. If you don't want to take out a Ninetales, take out a BTS.

However, I'd personally put in Judge, to disrupt your opponent as well... But if you want PONT instead, thats fine.

Both Ninetales and BTS are major elements. Unfortunately, I can't do that.

I suppose I have to remove one of the remaining two Unown R. It's just filler and is dead after my bench is full anyways.

So:

-1 SSU
-1 Unown R

+2 PONT

Also, I don't really think this deck should be thinking about that, it should be going for the turn 1 80.

EDIT: Testing shows that the problems are mostly gone. Thanks guys!

Yea, removing Ninetales and BTS were bad ideas on my part - I couldn't decide on what else to take out, and Unown R is a much better idea.

Anyways, hope your bro suceeds with this deck - and, much more importantly, enjoys playing it!

You know what? Let's scrap that last Unown R for a Super Scoop-Up or a Warp Point. With more Super Scoop-Ups, if you have only one Ninetales out, you have a bigger chance into drawing something that can get you to Roast Reveal twice when Broken Time-Space is out. Or, with more Warp Points, you can bring a Ninetales back to the bench without spending what little fire energy the deck has.

That's no good, as Charizard gets enough power from having any fire type on the bench.

EDIT: I tried this list on Redshark, and it turns out that Oak's New Theory is rather clutch.

Clutch, as in Oak's New Theory comes in the clutch.

I was playtesting it against a run of the mill Luxray/Garchomp deck, and I needed to swarm Charizards badly so that Garchomp couldn't take the easy way out like he's supposed to. A Power Spray hit a Roast Reveal and I was out of fire energy. I had Oak's New Theory in hand, played it, and got some fire and and two Super Scoop-Ups. One whiffed, and the other landed. Roast Reveal. Popped two Charizards and a Charmeleon, and suddenly three were online as I got a Rare Candy.

Oh, that clutch. xD

Yeah, it worked similarly for me as well. But something that struck me odd in this post is the bolded. How can you be out of Fire Energy after they Sprayed a Roast Reveal? You don't have to discard if they Power Spray it...

I wrote this at 3 in the morning. =\

Actually I had just one fire energy, attempted the Roast Reveal, got sprayed, but landed the Super Scoop-Up to Roast Reveal again.
