I made this deck after i realized how much I like my Ramparados PT deck. I like this deck idea because it's a little slower but it's MUCH more powerful. I mean 240 damage for three energy!? Rampardos donks basics, Infernape donks Torterra + Shaymin Lv.X at the same time!!!!

Pokemon - 24
4-2-4 Infernape
2-2 Ninetails
2-2 Claydol
1-1 Heatran Lv.X
1-1 Typhlosion
1 Unown G
1 Azelf

Trainers - 21
4 Rare Candy
4 Bebes Search
4 Roseanne's Research
3 Broken Time-Space
3 Night Maintenence
2 Lookers Investigation
2 Warp Point

Energy - 14
14 Fire Energy

Strategy: Set up an Infernape and Heatran Lv.X as soon as possible but start with a Ninetails as active. Use Flame Bash to put as many energies as possible on any of my pokemon always putting two on Infernape. As soon as at least two energy are on the field, use the free retreat of Ninetails to bring out Infernape. Use Rushing Flames with at least two energy to deal 180 damage and recover the discarded energy with Heatrans Heat Wave Poke-Power. Infernape Lv.X returns eight energy from your discard pile back to your deck at the same time it does 150 damage all for two energy!

Infernape LV.44 – Fire – HP110
Stage 2 – Evolves from Monferno

[R] Fire Rush: Discard any number of your Fire Energy in play, then flip a coin for each Energy card discarded, and this attack does 80 damage times the number of heads.
[C][C] Rage: Does 30 damage + 10 damage for each damage counter on Infernape.

Weakness: Water (+30)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 0

Ninetales LV.43 – Fire – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Vulpix

[.] Flame Banquet: Flip a coin until you get tails. Choose a number of Fire Energy from your deck up to the number of heads and attach it to your Pokemon in any way you like. Shuffle your deck afterward.
[R][C] Strange Fire: 40 damage. If you have more Energy in play than your opponent, The Defending Pokemon is now Burned and Confused.

Weakness: Water (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 0

I'm not even sure if I have the Strategy right for this deck. Like i said, I based it my my Rampardos deck so I didn't change much. As always, any help is apreciated.

i would up the claydol to two and i would add a lake boundry so you could kill a tort lv x with one energy

As for the Claydols, what would you take out for them? As for the Lake Boundary, I think I'll go without it. I would rather have 2 energies in the first place since you have to flip to do the damage per energy.

i dont know maybee you could take oput 2 energy since you will be searching for thm and keeping them on the field you wont need 16

You might want another 1-1 Heatran Lv. X, this way you are keeping 4 energies on you. I would also play 2 more Night Maintenance to get the energy you did discard. I don't think the warp points are special, seeing as Ninetales and Infernape have free retreat.

I think I might do that.

I want to add more Night maintenance but I'm not sure what to take out for them. I would take out the Warpoints but just like cursedchidori said, those are to get heatran back on the bench after the level up.
I think I'll leave Heatran as is because he only returns energies discarded from Infernape for his attack. Infernape can use Energies from any Poke on the field so just keeping two on Infernape and spreading the rest to the bench means I'll always get the 180 and can add another energy if necessecary to KO sumthin while keeping my bench ready for the worst.

Nice........Looks powerful.........

Maybe try a Infernape for an instant kill, draw, HP, and recycling energies? Or maybe an Infernape from SF to set up........nice deck.

1 Ape lv.x just to get the energy back into the deck. If you don't have tran in play the energy goes down the drain pretty quickly so you can just hit for 150 for the ko and get all those energy back.

I agree with adding in 1 Infernape LvX. I read the card wrong last night when we were talking on messenger. Sorry about that. >.< I'm not sure what to take out for it though. Maybe a Fire Energy? This deck could work just fine with only 2 Looker's Investigation as well.

It's your call. ;)

There we go. Hows that look. It seems better to me now that I have the energy recycling from the Lv.X I forget that coinflips remain as random as.... well, coinflips.

an a tails will lose you at least 1/2 your games because unlike your stetegy its sooooooo consistant

Just because I only need to get two heads to get the 160 doesn't mean I'm gonna take the risk of getting a tails that easily. I understand a coinflip always carries that chance, which is why I love Fire Rush. I can get rid of excess energy on my benched pokemon in order to increase my odds of getting heads. This deck seems to be capable of getting the energy out fast enough and recycling energy back fast enough so it shouldn't be a problem.

I dont think Ape X works with Tran X. Ape X's attack needs 8 discarded Fire Energy and Tran keeps 2 from being discarded. You would be a bit slower y not discarding all of them, but if others tell you to use Ape X, don't let me stop you.

Heatran's Heat Wave Poke-Power is optional because it's a Poke-Power. Also, it says that they can get up to 2 :fire: energies so he can get 2, 1 or even 0 (which is the same as not activating the Power) :fire: energies.

Man I better start looking up what a card does.

I just see Heatran. No attacks (hope I'm right there) A power and a body (I can never remember which one is which)

Why flip for 80x when you can just do 40x with the other Infernape? The two cards are virtually identical, real creativity from the developers there.

Last I checked 80 is a bigger number then 40, even with the flip and you can discard from all of your pokemon instead of just ape.
