BW-on Speed Shred

I was inspired by a guy I faced during Cities last weekend who used Shaymin EX's Synthesis attack as a semi energy acceleration. I'm also liking the "Speed Darkrai" deck so this gave me an idea to try. Since the idea is to get three energy on the board by turn 2 and Energy Switch to the important Pokemon and get things really going. So here's an idea that uses Shaymin EX and Giratina EX.

Pokemon:

4 Shaymin EX
4 Giratina EX

I/S/S:

3 Energy Search
4 PlusPower
3 Ultra Ball
1 Computer Search
4 Switch
4 Energy Switch
4 Pokemon Catcher
2 Random Receiver
3 Eviolite
4 Prof. Juniper
4 Cheren
4 N

Energy:

7 Grass Energy
5 Psychic Energy

Deck Total = 60

The strategy is very much similar to Speed Darkrai. But since there is no luxury of Dark Patch for Shaymin and Giratina I had to improvise. You'll always want to start with Shaymin EX if you can. Drop a Grass Energy on the little guy and Synthesis a Grass Energy on a Benched Giratina EX. Then come turn 2 Switch Shyamin and Giratina, drop a Psychic Energy (Energy Search or Computer Search helps there), Energy Switch the Grass Energy from Shaymin to Giratina and start Shredding. Since it tramples through defenses like Eviolite and Bouffalant's Bouffer, and combination of the both, you can just spam it every turn. In the mean time you could get Shaymin or another Giratina EX ready. The point of this deck is to get that turn 2 Shred like you would get that turn 2 Dark Spear. The PlusPowers are there for when you just need that extra little bit of damage to knock out that Bouffalant with an Eviolite and Bouffer. I've been seeing plenty of them running around my local Cities so that's why I had this combination. This deck also reminds me so much of CMT, although I should probably squeeze a Skyarrow Bridge in there so I don't have to waste a Switch to swap Shaymin with Giratina on turn 2. All in all this seems like a fun and legit deck. What do you guys think? May not have as much as Speed Darkrai, but you got to work with what you got. Once Poison Hypnotic Beam comes out that'll immediatly replace the PlusPowers.

If there's any deck that calls for First Ticket, it's this one. Shaymin is so fragile that it will be KO'd by Keldeo, Darkrai (w/ Dark Claw) and Landorus in T3 with only manual energy attachments. Therefore, you really need to have attacked 2x before they can start getting into your Shaymins. That way you can control the energy accumulation on their side of the board (again, assuming no acceleration) by KOing whatever they're loading up.

Here's a more improved alternative idea to this deck.

Pokemon:

4 Shaymin EX
4 Giratina EX

I/S/S:

3 Cheren
1 Computer Search
4 Energy Switch
3 Eviolite
3 Heavy Ball
4 N
4 PlusPower
4 Pokemon Catcher
4 Prof. Juniper
2 Skyarrow Bridge
3 Skyla
1 Super Rod
4 Switch

Energy:

7 Grass Energy
5 Psychic Energy

I don't really intend to attack with Shaymin EX much. If I do it'll usually be later when either Giratina or another Shaymin gets clobbered. Shaymin old gets stronger when his friends get knocked out. The only other real way this deck works is if you get the right kind of cards in your hand. You can either get that god hand you want or start out with a total dud of a hand. You just got to be willing to take chances and have some fun.
