If you could answer my question, that would be greatly appreciated. I have a Spiritomb AR with the Pokebody "Keystone Seal", disabling me from playing two Warp Point, Switch, Super Scoop Up, and other outs from the active slot. Now, my opponent has a Chatot up front and uses "Chatter", dismaying me to retreat, and my Spiritomb has resistance, negating the damage, creating a lock. I use "Darkness Grace" on my Spiritomb, and decide to fail the search, and then place a 10 Marker on my Spiritomb. My opponent stops me and says, "You didn't evolve, so you can't place 10 damage on Spiritomb". If I were to fail the search on "Darkness Grace", would I receive 10 damage on Spiritomb? Thanks.
