Attention SoCal Pokemon players, this is a reminder that I will be holding a Battle Road tournament in Huntington Beach, CA on Saturday June 7th.

General Directions:
1.> Take the 405 Fwy to Beach Blvd. and exit South.
2.> Best Western Regency Inn is about 3-4 miles down on the left-hand (east) side just south of Garfield.
3.> Address = 19360 Beach Blvd., Huntington Beach, CA 92648-2502
I realize this is a fairly late announcement, so please spread the word to those who may be interested. Registration starts at 10am and the tournament itself will start at 10:45am. Depending on turnout there may or may not be a lunch break, so please be prepared and bring a snack just in case. Also depending on turnout, we will probably have some booster drafts later in the afternoon as well.
After the main event, we will be having a "Diamond & Pearl Video Game Showdown" DS tourney in preparation for the upcoming event coming to Los Angeles in July (http://Showdown.Pokemon.com). Battles will be 2-vs-2, teams will be exactly 4 Pokemon with no duplicates (and no switching between rounds), and each Pokemon must be Lv.50 or lower. We will try to follow the Showdown Rules & Restrictions as closely as possible (except we will run it as Swiss rather than Single Elimination), so please check out this link for details on the Battle Rules, Pokemon Restrictions, Move Restrictions, etc:

The winner in each of the two age divisions (Juniors = born in 1996 or later; Seniors = born in 1995 or earlier) will receive a "brand-new" (meaning unopened) copy of Pokemon Emerald (GBA)!
In addition to the D/P tourney, we are also going to hook up a Wii and have other small tournaments for Pokemon Battle Revolution, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Kart Wii (and perhaps DS too), and more.
