My thanks to David N for running the Richland BRs..I had fun and so did Team Lakewood. See my post elsewhere...


So what happened in Bremerton and Lynnwood? Winners??.....Totals????

BR Game On June 16, 2012

Last event at Game On, seating was set for 70 players, only 68 players attended. Seating again will be set for 70 players, I strongly suggest you arrive early to get a seat. Store is only capable of holding 70 players. Check this website for any further info regarding event details.

Comic Stop Spring BR

First of all I want to thank the staff at Comic Stop. They store was set up in advance for out tourney and it was the smoothest event we have had there. Thanks to Mike and his crew for the effort they made for us.
Last year we had 9 players (I think last years format was to blame) This year we had 8 Juniors, 5 Seniors and 17 Masters for 30 players.

Maybe it was a couple events ago, I just remember bussing to the mall and being told the manager/owner being hesitant to allow more seating due to theft but clearly had plenty of room, players being upset due to no cap but being turned away as well.

I'll show up I just hope its not going to turn into the same event all over again

You must remember we (Pokemon players) are strickly quests at these smaller events. The store owners/managers have the ultimate say and final word as to what takes place in their stores. They can set a player cap, cancel events, and ban certain people from entering thier stores. If we were paying the owners for space and use of thier tables and chairs for a set number of players and they failed to meet our requirements; then we would have issues. The number of stores wishing to hold these Free events has dwindle greatly the past few years,this is mainly due to the recession and many stores have closed.
Game On use to be Uncle's Games which closed due to poor sales. Initially Game On did not wish to hold any form of tournament play. They only agreed if I, the organizer, set a palyer cap. Thier store has recently been rearranged and we hoping to squeeze in 70 players like last time, but no quarantees.
The earlier you arrive, the better chance you will have a seat.

Very true. People have to remember that these businesses rely on sales to keep afloat. IF they are so full to the brim with players that shoppers can not come and and get what they came in for, then they will loose sales. I feel that 70 players is a very generous number that the store owner is willing to have in his location.

Memorial Day we had 60 players at Phoenix games, We were pretty much at full capacity. I do not know what we would have done had more players shown up.
And at our other tournement location of Comic Stop, it is doubtfull that we could ever fit in more then 40 players for a tourement. So if you come and it full it is not the store owners fault there is only so much room that he can spare and still operate his business.

Anyone know if the BR will be at the store or the office building?

Sarah's softball team made it to the Championship game. It is Saturday at 9:00 so we should have just enough time to get to Renton before 11;00. But I have not heard if the BR tournement is going to be at Shane's store or the Office Building down the street. Has anyone heard where it will be at?

Shane's had over 30 masters (36?). 6 swiss rounds.

Final standings were:

1) Kennan M w/ Eelektrik/Lightning attackers/Terrrakion/Mewtwo
2) Tyler N (6-0 swiss) w/ Darkrai-EX/Tornadus-EX/Mewtwo-EX/Shaymin/Smeargle/Potion

I don't remember what order 3rd and 4th were in but it consisted of CTM and Klinklang.

I know Allen got 2nd in Seniors but that's all I know as far as the younger age divisions.

I took 3rd with the CMR deck I should have played States and regionals with.

Congrats Kennan. You disposed of my pretty quickly in T4. and sorry Tyler looks like the curse of the 1st strikes again.

Even though Izaiah went undefeated in juniors he did not win this one, he got 2nd.... Can't wait for the comic book shop, stinks I won't be able to play, but I can help judge if you don't mind...
 
Game On BR Southcenter Mall

Just got back from Game On at the Southcenter Mall, seating has been set for 72 players. Hope to see you there tomorrow for the last Spring BR in the Seattle area.
