Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Spring BRs in Virginia

Hey, all...

BIG TCG congrats to our own Wolfe G. for taking 1st place today at the VGC regionals here in Chantilly!!! Hope we see you tomorrow, Wolfe. Let's see if you can make it a 2fer weekend at tomorrow's BR. (Although 4 packs + Victory Medal isn't quite equal to today's swag!) Anyway, Congrats again!

We registered :/

It's been awhile since we've been to Fairfax, so we FORGOT you needed to register *facepalm*

is it full? (before we drive all the way up there)

The website count hasn't been updated this evening. So, we're not sure if we're on the "waiting list" or not :/

Ryan and I are coming. We're both preregistered, but only he'll be playing. I submitted a cancellation thing a few hours ago.

If anybody reading this has HS-on stuff, I'll buy/trade for it. Bring your binders, bring your staples.

WOOO HOOOO !!!!

The LARGEST BATTLE ROAD IN AMERICA BOYZZzzzzz!!!!!!!

That was mad fun.

6 rounds at a BATTLE ROADS??? *WHAT!?!?*

I jacked up my deck taking all of the trainers out, but still came out even. *sigh of relief*

So, 16 J/ 15 S/ 40 M/ = 71 for a .... Battle Roads???!!! Please let me know via PM if you have heard of any larger in North American THIS spring (only Spring BR 2011 need apply!!)

Thank ALL of you absolutely crazy, insane, wonderful players who came from points near and far to play at our little event. You are the best. Timothy and Jav are amazing, and Josh was a lifesaver, coming up at the LAST minute since we saw the prereg list maxing out as the event approached.

Hope to see lots of you in Indy!!!

Thank you to everyone who competed at Fairfax today! Spring BRs in Fairfax are usually "small" relative to its other events, but you all really shattered records today.

Shout out to the people from New Jersey too! Great seeing you again and congrats on the T4 finish. See you in Indiana!

We're waiting for confirmation, but so far no other event has reported greater than 67 so you may have been part of the largest SBR in North America! Thanks again!

Props:
*Josh for showing up to help. It could not have gone as smoothly without you! :thumb:
*People showing up from as far as New Jersey and Louisiana, looking to claim a Victory Medal (they were in town for other reasons too  )
*Juniors getting top4
*Meeting people from the tidewater area
*The amazingly clean play area at the end of the day
*The players.

Slops:
*Seniors missing top4 by 1 player
*Efficiency leading to forgetting where something was put.
*Roseanne's Research

You left before I could say thanks for coming! Earlier in the week, I thought you were going for another top cut performance but didn't see you on the list until I got home last night. Sorry about the prereg issue (the lack of updates in the afternoon). The Saturday night close date vs Friday night close date is really a different dynamic.

Alas, Corvallis, OR seems to have beaten us by 2 players :frown::frown:

we'll get 'em next year!!!!:smile:

They're reporting 72 and we're reporting 71. Beat us by 1. Each tournament, we get closer.

Still impressive for the event in general. I was expecting attendance to be somewhere around 55. You all were phenomenal!

Are you sure about that? The Oregon thread says 71, which would tie with us.

Gahhh.....and I seem to miss all the fun......:( Couldn't be helped, though, as my mother was in the hospital....brought us good and bad news.....but everything is under control now. Sounds like everyone had an awesome time these past couple weeks.....Good luck to all those going to Indiana!
