SSU in FlyChamp

Time Burglar

I've been running SSU for awhile now in my Flygon/Machamp build, and I've recently began to question its usefulness for me. I run BTS so of course it can be a heal for my evolved pokemon, but running Stage 2's means they might be Rare Candied and can't be just thrown back out there so easily. I originally put 'em in to re-use Claydols and Uxie, but that's becoming less and less necessary, and of course I seem to have more than my fair share of SSU fails. The main reason I hesitate to take them out is the impending rotation.... without Claydols, I'm gonna need all the draw power I can get and SSU is potentially another Uxie. Without actually playing in that format, I just don't know if Uxies and Volkners/Oaks will be enough without having to try scooping Uxie up for another use.

Any thoughts?

SSUs are always useful in any deck. The trouble is, I'm not sure what you've dropped to make room for them. Flychamp lists tend to be pretty tight and a thicker Claydol line or more Judges are really useful.

You could always use good rod for a chance to re-use SSU. You would probably want to run a bit of supporter draw as well.
