State Tax Increase

YA when i was living in england, it was kinda nice knowing the price before hand. but deep down i still knew i was gettin gouged that VAT. I shopped on the bases most of the time tax free, but occasionally i had to suck it up and pay some tax...lol

One of these days, I need to start working in the US military to get stuff tax free...any idea whether these bases sell Pokemon cards?

w00t! "PUI Stick"-ed member who lived in England?!? HAX0R! Just remember England is NOT Scotland, and you're fine by me.

Not sure if they sell them or not. Probably not....the best way to gain access to the bases is to marry someone who works there, then you are entitled to all the privileges they get....including tax free cheap gasoline!!

I was stationed there for 3 years, made several trips up to Scotland, i loved it. Reminded me of home a bit...mountains and trees  England by contrast was mostly flat farmland, at least where i was at

Indeed, we paid about 1/6th the price the locals did. It really hurt bad driving past my car's mileage radius and having to fill up on the economy...ouch.

I can say one thing though, having lived over there, i dont complain about taxes stateside anymore....lol
