Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

States and rogues

That is SO true, people are too scared to try something NEW!!! I guess the kinda fear change. :thumb:

i don't think those cards will make a comeback, they didn't even work when lucario dominated so since gallade is much better i doubt we'll see them comeback
Can you specify I dont know which ones you mean the crobat n saly?

venomoth is good but it's resistance doesn't help it much, with kind of low hp, and fire weakness is pretty bad
I personally think thats venomoths a very annoying card like in order for gallade to hurt it he HAS to flip prizes ( because chances are the venomoth has already attacked and made it non psy cutable) so prize flip is a must

flygon ex had a chance because it was with kingdra and it also reduces damage with it's body, i don't think other similar cards are overlooked, i just think they're UNDERTESTED

I like flygon ex as well for a pokemon that does well agenst gallade. I also am in the procces of testing as many"ideas" as possible.

Phoenix, you are not the only one, I am building and editing decks like it is going out of style. I have fun sometimes and I get frustrated toobut it is part of the game for deck builders, not "cookie-cutters"!!!

mmmm that one deck that DukeFireBird has seems pretty promising its *gets hit in head*

I only know about 4 "rogue" decks. They all seem ok.

In my opinion, if a rogue deck wins, the player who wins with it will have to be semi-well known for it to even catch on like Destiny did. No offense to lesser known players, but that is just how it goes..

Ummm which deck are you talking about? the GG one with the tech omastar? (the only one i could find)
I like the idea too I just think a 1-1 line is pretty scary (i mean with Gallade to find it if prized and all but what if its discarded? ) I think a 2-2 omastar line with some better support might do well.

I'm not "well known" :[ No0o0o0 (my days ruined) lol

i meant flygon d and ex d, they're alright but i don't think they stand up to the majority of dp decks

johnnyblaze's deck was good but exs are really hard to play tournies with, when i played rayquaaza i regretted it , i think some ge cards are going to be good,

drag/scep could be successful in the right meta

i will play anybodies anti gallade deck on redshark with gallade list pm me

i have experience with a few different decks that arn't cookie cutters but that doesn't mean you'll see it on the gym you won't see anybody's but the boards will light up after states let's see what decks we know about after first week of states

Yah I took the easy way out WAY too late lol (by not using GG for any states I think i attended 4 or 5)
I made a GG just to test decks agenst. It is VERY frustrating I agree with you 100% With such little time to test ( 2 weeks away ) I mean I get a little practice seeings how we get to have a "pre states tourney " but that just means Ive got to be done even earlier.:frown:

There is a pre-states tourney? I have only been playing since Dec. 2, 2007. So, I am kinda new to the events.

Well its kinda top secret lol
no but its up in New england were just one big family up here :]

(its not really top secret thats a joke )

Oh, okay! I live in NC, ours is march 8, I think!!! That is not long, only a hop and a skip away...lol!

Me and My girlfriend have been testing alot of decks(yes we have no lives except Pokemon) and Porygon-Z Is a beast 2 energy for 80( most of the time) It beat my rypioror and GG in multiple games Its power well..P2 is the secret really, discard an supporter and use its effect 2 supporters is so nasty!

lets just say that if they errata tangrowth before states, that is a very viable deck
ive tryed it and its 3-0 against g&g but i am afraid to test agaisnt magmortar
again, this is all based on sceptile making tangrowth spread for 2x energy

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you

There are lots of options, just have to look for them. I'll bet G&G won't win as many states as you might think because of the people playing viable options.

HAHAHAHAHA

I just love how everyone thinks Gallade needs to OHKO evrything by flipping X number of prizes. Everybody knows this will be the case:

A. You will already have damage
B. Gallade will sonic blade (dont mention Unown G or I swear...)
C. Gallade can flip 1 or 2 at a time, doing 80+80 or 100+100.
D. Gallevoir will be entirely further set-up

I can tell you that I will be playing a new yet old deck for states. It will also catch on as you suggest. I believe that it counters the top 4 decks rather well. I have been testing it weekly.

Today I went undefeated in a 16 man tournament at my shop. beating the following.....
Weezing/meganium
darkrai/blissey
darkrai/weaavile/magmortar
Gardy/gallade/absol
and a straight magsol

You all will be amazed at what I have come up with this time.

X2 will show its face at states!

Jimmy

dont trust him!
he's a crook!
jk, lol.

im not so sure there is one.
if something beats mag and gallade, then it loses to blissey.
its law.

Understandable....

Trust me this time...

Magmortar is the toughest matchup...
but still VERY beatable...

Bliss and gallade arent event close....

You'll see in 2 weeks...

Jimmy
