This is just a deck I considered when trying to make a counter for the plasma decks. It's definitely not the perfect counter, but I think it may make a viable option.

Pokemon
3x Cobalion EX PLS
1x Cobalion NV
1x Keldeo EX
4x Kling
1x Klang
3x Klingklang BW
1x Klingklang PLS

Trainers...
4x Candy
4x Max Potion
4x N
4x Catcher
1x Dowsing Machine
2x Heavy Ball
2x Ultra Ball
3x Skyla
2x Switch
3x Juniper
2x Eviolite
2x Float Stone
2x Tropical Beach

Energy
11x Metal

Now let's run through each card.
Cobalion EX is obviously the main attacker. His first attack does 30 damage and discards a special energy attached to the defending pokemon. A lot of decks in the current metagame use special energy, mainly the plasma decks. Thundurus EX can attach the energy back very easily, but this attack still greatly slows down the opposing deck, which allows more time to set up. Also, this attack deals 60 damage to kyurem and articuno, no small amount, and will discard their plasma energy, which again, greatly slows them down. Cobalions second attack deals 100 damage no matter what. At first, this disappointed me because it means it can not one hit kyurem or articuno. However, I soon realized how helpful that effect was. Regardless of anything (barring sleep and paralysis), Cobalion can two hit any pokemon. The final thing about Cobalion is that is is very difficult to KO. Cobalion has 180hp, and can easily reduce all damage done to it by 20 with Eviolite. This really hurts Darkrai, Articuno, and Thundurus as they will only be able to deal 60-70 which is a 3 hit KO. We must also take in to account the weakness to fire and resistance to psychic. Fire pokemon are rarely used and psychic pokemon are common, so these aspects are very valuable to the card. Cobalion's ability to disrupt, hit heavily, and absorb damage makes it an amazing attacker.

Cobalion from Noble Victories is also a valuable asset to the deck as a true counter to kyurem and articuno. We will not be looking at his second attack as usual, but rather his first one. For two energy, Cobalion deals 20 damage plus 20 more for each energy attached to the defending pokemon. This will one hit a fully loaded kyurem or articuno for just two energy and also two hit a Thundurus, making it a terrific counter to Plasma decks.

Finally, we have the Klingklangs. BW Klingklangs ability states that you can move metal energy from one of you pokemon to another as often as you like during your turn. This ability mainly helps Klingklang complement max potion. Cobalion EX is already extremely difficult to damage. Right when he is about to die, you can move energy off of him, use max potion to heal him, and move all the energy right back. Klingklang two prevents damage from all EX pokemon done to your pokemon with metal energy. Obviously this is helpful in countering all decks that use EX cards.

There is one main problem with Steel Pride that may prevent it from entering the metagame. This is lack of energy acceleration. There is no viable way to speed energy attachment in this deck besides adding in a plasma engine. However, I don't think the plasma engine would work because it takes up so much room and would be difficult to set up. I believe that stalling with Cobalion's first attack could possibly create enough time to load up a Cobalion, but it also wouldn't necessarily work.

Thank you for sitting through this very long run through of Steel Pride, and please leave feedback on whether you believe this would work and what would help it. Also, let me know of other problems it has so I can think of ways to fix them.

I see you don't run float stone. Float stone is a tool that removes the retreat cost of the pokemon it's attached to. That may help with your retreat cost problem. Junipers and skylas are also a must. Skyla gets your candies and juniper is good draw power. I also think special metals aren't legal anymore. Then again I'm not sure if you are BW-ON or not :p

Oh man, you're right about the metal energy! I can't believe I missed that. I do actually have 3 skylas already, but I may consider substituting the Cherens with junipers.

Have you thought of playing super scoop ups?

That could be a good idea as it helps with both retreating and removing damage counters. I could probably change the escape ropes and maybe 1 switch. However, if I can't get Klingklang up in time they wouldn't be very helpful so I might just want to play two. I guess I'll take out the escape ropes and leave the switch.

Well instead of switch would you want float stone? Like 3 Stones 1 Switch? Maybe not the SSU since you run Max Potions. 4 Juniper, 4 N, 4 Skyla, 2 Bianca would be pretty good for supporters. Also I did hear that Computer search is good in Stage 2 Decks but so is dowsing machine. Right now I'm bouncing back and forth between the 2 personally.

The reason I like switch over float stone is to get past sleep and paralysis. I kind of like the idea of 4 juniper 4 skyla and 4 n, but I don't think that Bianca would go very well with the deck. I'm starting to consider using Keldeo though.

EDIT: i wrote everything below with the assumption that you ran a 2/2 split between BW klinklang and the PS klinklang. if you only listen to one sugestion i make its this one: do the 2/2 split and make the PS klinklang the first one you get out. that is the reason this deck wins. now your opp has to use non ex attackers and you can max potion of damage becuase most of their non-ex attackers wont OHKO your pokemon.

i wouldnt play ssu in here because you already have 4 max potion and ssu only helps cobalion any way. i would also change the 4 switch to 3 float stone and maby one switch because although switch is helpful, it dosent help nearly as much as float stone overall because a float stone on klinklang is a long term solution to catcher stalling. the biggest problem i see is no heavy ball. that is one of the key cards to this deck and i found that you dont really need anything to search cobalion out, they appear often enough from supporters. i dont like playing mewtwo ex in here ether. i understand how helpful it can be but its 2 unprotected prizes. the way this deck wins is by forcing your opp to take all of their prizes by non-ex pokemon. instead play a second cobalion because it is key to beating plasmabox running kyrem as cobalion ex can only hit it for 100. a 4th cobalion ex would be helful if you didnt want the 2nd cobalion because it is an amazing starter as it can destroy a special energy. Also, can you afford/do you have tropical beach? this deck works sooooooooooo much better with 2-3 tropical beach. you would just take 2 catchers out for 2 beach. thats not all the suggestions i have but that will do to start.

I suppose I might add 1 PS Klingklang, but it is not a priority for me because I know people will be ready for it. You made some interesting points on the float stone, and now I think that I will run a Keldeo/float stone. I also agree with what you said on he heavy ball. I will probably keep Mewtwo because I will never play it unless I need to and it is rare that I will start with it. I also already like my Cobalion line and will probably leave it as is. Tropical beach would be a good addition I suppose, so I will consider that.

This deck is an auto-loss to Accelgor: once they start paralysing, you have no way out.
Yes, you will slow down Plasma Box, but it is still faster and stronger than you. With Deoxys EX, it will always win the prize trade, and its engine is so much faster.
RayEels will also easily take you down.

This deck is a good idea in a vacuum, but it is easily countered by everything the metagame has to offer.

I changed a lot of things after seeing this post. For Gothitelle/accelgor I added in the Keldeo/Float stone combo. Assuming I can get he float stone out before Gothitelle, I'll be able to escape paralysis which will allow me to win easily. Then, I added in the Klingklang from Plasma Storm to counter all the EXs in Plasma and Rayeels. Rayeels should be fairly easy to beat with this and plasma decks will also have a hard time attacking. Additionally, I took out Mewtwo so Deoxys has nothing to kill off easily.
