So you're going to waste 2 poketurns and an energy just to get rid of 1 Steelix? Sounds like a waste of a lot of resources.

Ok, so let's see here... your board/hand was

Hand:
1) Luxray Lvl X
2) Poketurn
3) Blaze FB
5) DCE
6) Fire Energy
7) EGain
8) Poketurn

Active:
Luxray

Bench:
1) Chatot

If I had a perfect hand against every deck I'd totally be the World Champion!

Nothing to add, but I wanted to compliment you on your outstanding deck explanation. I've always wondered how exactly a Steelix deck worked, and now I know.

With a little formatting and pictures, this would make an excellent front page article.

Well, I was going to give a long response pointing out every folly and letting loose my own theorymonster, but I see its already been done. I'll just respond to you like I'm going to respond to every comment like this: see you on at the table...I like my chances.

I think you really do need collectors in this deck. Not a big fan of Jirachi I would drop them for 3 collector and a communication. Maybe switch around the volkner and engineer counts because you won't always have an energy in hand.

Jirachi is huge in this deck. We have a Steelix build similar to this and it has 2 Collector in it, but removing the Jirachi isn't the best move.

This deck has to have a starter. Jirachi was the obvious choice to me early on but with the release of twins, I could see an arguement against it. The build was made around Jirachi. Using "Detour" to grab 6 basic Pokemon didn't seem to do any good.
