Stolen Ebay Listing

Hey folks,

I noticed that another ebay-user has copied my pictures and my entire listing for a PSA10 E3 Pikachu card. I reported this to ebay a couple days ago, but it is still there . . . is there a way to hasten the process (would anyone be willing to also report this?). I don't want to be associated with people like this or have people questioning the validity of my cards. Plus, I don't want anyone to mistakenly fall into the trap of actually bidding/purchasing from this individual

I can post a link, if acceptable to the moderators . . . I don't want to break the rules by advertising a "live auction" even though it is fraudulent.

Thanks!

Hopefully people are smart enough to look at his feedback though. I took a glance at it, and saw he's got a rep for shady dealings already. Reported the auction for you as well.

For future listings you could watermark your pics with your ebay username not sure how easy it is but I do see a lot of sellers doing that now.

Yeah you get that from time to time, we had a big scam come through Aus not long ago, Chinese lad ripped about 20K off of ppl.

Don't use ebay to watermark, they might try to ccharge you more. Instead, open up your image with any kind of editor like PS or Paint and just put a mark only you could know somewhere, even if it's only slight. It's not hard to do a watermark in either of those examples either.

If you have a link to his account, plz post it so I can grill him.

I used to send in reports and they hardly ever do anything about it anymore. Send the guy a message about it and be firm in telling him to remove it. That usually works fast for me. You can call eBay as well and have it removed while on the phone.

Ebay watermarks are removed when they put it onto Google. While it is "illegal" to use photos from Google that are not explicitly marked for public use, most people think it is okay.

Ebay has also made effective new rules against how big personal watermarks are so you have to watch out there, or your listing may be removed. I think 5% of the main photo is the most it can cover, don't quote me though.

Thanks for the advice and help . . . it is appreciated!

Yours is way too expensive. His is cheaper...jk

Thanks Gary

I know my card is overpriced, I've never seen one in PSA10 and would prefer to hang onto it unless the right offer came along. Sentimental value, you know?

I do see the difference in his posting..

1) He actually bought a subtitle
2) he spaced out the copied description you wrote
3) he made your picture right side up
4) He has a cheaper price
5) He has a lower rating and % feedback

No matter the big differences... his listing is reported
