Does storm drain prevent Surf from hitting other pokemon. Ie politoed uses surf and gastrodon is also on my team. Does the surf deal damage to my opponents team AND boost gastrodons SpA, similar to how water absorb would boost lapras hp
surf is what is called an AoE... basically it will hit all pokemon... however there are some exceptions (which i'll post more if needed)

Ludicolo took very little damage.... Absorb bulb kicks in... Ludicolo Special attacks rises
everyone else does their move....
then rain dish restores 1/16 of HP on Ludicolo
