Superbowl!

LOL my home team lost. I knew it would happen they won not that long ago in the superbowl. I bet Payton was PO'ed lol

i know but you guys had a good safety.

That was a good play but hey... football isnt my favorite sport. If the phoenix suns were in the championship then it would be getting intense

My sister predicted that the Saints would win the entire thing like a month ago. I'm seriously thinking about exploiting her through sports bets and that sort of thing.

For how disinterested I was before the game, I gotta admit- That was the best Super Bowl I've ever seen. Both teams acted like they wanted it (for a change) and scrapped for every single yard gained and every stop for a loss. It was anybody's game to the last 2 minutes. Very good game!

Being a Saints fan all my life, I couldn't be happier!:thumb:
Team Rocket's hideout is now home to the World Champs!
The Louisiana State Champ is also the Pokemon World Champ!
Louisiana, home of Champions!

WHO DAT say dem commercials sucked?

I do. They were subpar at best this year! The game was great though, Payton thoroughly out coached Peyton, and their kicker came up huge.

Congratulations to the Saints and their fans, great story. Drew Brees just went from really good to great. Happy that he got away from that cursed franchise in San Diego. I thought the Colts would win and were the better team, but I was wrong! Saints deserve it!

And one time: WHO DAT, WHO DAT, WHO DAT GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?! NOBODY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!

Hooray, the Saints win! They never gave up during the game. With a score of 31-17, the Saints prevail.

Go Saints! You guys had an awesome season.:thumb:

"Guys, we have 0 points and the Colts have 10....lets score 31 points quick and barely let Indy do anything."

I must say, the Saints had a pretty good strategy :thumb:

& though I wasn't rooting for them, it is good to see a team who's never made it to the Super Bowl actually make it, and then WIN after being behind 10 points. Surprised Reggie didn't make a touchdown though.

GJ Saints!

I just want to know what the Saints managed to fix after that first quarter that had Peyton so flummoxed. I don't think I've ever seen Peyton quite that rattled in the middle of a football game. Did somebody knock him down or something? Cuz that pick-six was a fantastic play and a terrible decision.

Also, what happened to that tight coverage on the Saints wideouts? Did the corners get tired, or did the Saints WRs just figure that coverage out?

Also, two of the greatest drops in SB history in this game. I think it was Colston who had the ball hit him in the face, and then Wayne dropped one of the softest passes I've ever seen.

Here's two things that I loved about this game...

1) only one turnover, yet only 48 points scored. That's two very balanced teams going after each other and neither one making any mistakes.

2) 8 penalties for 64 yards. Again, neither team making any real mistakes.

That was a beautiful game. Not quite as heartpounding as the last two, but I think this was a better game than them. I love games with zero mistakes and the team coming in with more heart wins in the end.

You have to try to remember, Peyton didn't have the ball for almost an hour. That's like going from 0 to 60 and back to 0, then expecting to get to 75 from 0 faster than it took to get to 60. It's not that he was rattled, he was rusty, as was his entire offense. Wayne dropped passes he normally catches, Peyton had the rare overthrown reciever, and that really made the difference.

Gregg Williams for the Saints gameplanned really well for Manning. He realized they couldn't stop him, but by letting him get his dump passes for short yardage, time just continued to tick off that clock. When the saints took the lead in the 4th, the Colts had only had the ball 6 times prior to the drive, 5 minutes and change left in the game and the ball has only been in Manning's hands 6 times. That's simply amazing.

As for the defense....When the Colts went up ten they changed their defensive scheme altogether. They went from running the tight man coverage that had the Saints guessing, to the typical zone they had run all year long, with the safeties playing off to prevent the big play. Once they switched to the zone, there was nothing deep, but Brees always had a man open due to the safeties playing so far off. The Saints had gameplanned for that zone and obviously took advantage of it. The Colts pass rush also pulled a Houdini in the second half. Freeney was gassed, and nobody else stepped up to pressure. That lack of pressure was a distinct factor in Brees dismantling the Colts secondary the entire second half.

So.....yeah....go Saints.
