Well, it all started with my brother and me driving the 1+ hour to Jackson Michigan for the GC. Right as were getting onto I94 for the final stretch im cut off by a Silver Jeep Liberty which I jokingly say to my brother its probably Matt C.(Sands) It turns out IT IS!!! So we follow him and his car full of players the rest of the way to Jackson..
When we get there, not many people are there. I take the 15+ cards I borrowed from anaisarich(thanks Rich) and head out to work on my decks. I finished off my brothers Blaziken, and my Dragtrode and then went and hung out with various people. Pretty soon the tournament started.
Round 1 vs. Jared P(Dark Slowking/Jirachi)
My start is pretty much garbage, he uses 3/4 shards to KO 2 R. Sneasel exs and a Dragonite, can you GUESS the result of this one?

Round 2 vs. David B.(Zapdos)
I start with Sneasel to his lone Zapdos, I do 20 to him with dragoff and drop a ruins. He counters the ruins and gets a bunch of basics. I eventually lure him into killing the sneasel with his Zappy, so I can OHKO him with a trode and 2 dark. He falls for the trap and is stuck with Elekids, and Voltorbs without draw from there on out

Round 3 vs. Matt Moss(Rock-Lock)
The game gets off to a quick start with both of us getting decent setups. Eventually I kill his Jirachi and he Spinning Tail/Scrambles me which I 2HKO with a combonation of Dragonite/R. Sneasel ex.
Eventually he takes a 3-4 prize lead and I draw my card just as the time runs out. I know I can OHKO his attacking Dark Amphy to tie the game, but I had to figure out whether or not I could win the game. I OHKO his Amphy w/ Sneasel and an R energy and he goes and if he has his 3rd ATM rock its game. He quicksearches and the 3rd ATM rock is in his PRIZES! He brings up a Dark Flaffy and does its first attack to paralyze me, I go and attach my 3rd R energy and copycat his 2 cards trying to get my Warp Point and I dont get it, so I pass and lose my R energy. He evolves to Amphy and hits me with Ram. At this point I know my only chance in this game is to Topdeck my last R energy. I draw my card and its my R energy!! I drop it and OHKO Amphy for the game, Sorry Mossy=(

Round 4 vs. Chad(Numel?)
I start with a R. Sneasel ex against his Collect Numel. He has like Nothing and collects, I attach a dark and drag off for 20. He draws again, gives his hand a disgusted look and collects again. I draw and Copycat his 8 cards and get the dark to drag off for the win

Round 5 vs. Snowball21(Medicham/Muk ex)
He gets a really lame start, I dont remember all the details but he Frontier locks me w/ Muk down but I have a bunch of Dark Evos w/ an attacking sneasel so I OHKO his lone Muk ex for the game.

At this point I know ive made the T8, so I go to grab some dinner with my brother. We eat and by then T8 is about to start.
T8 vs. Sceptile7790(Ajay) with Mirror
Game 1: He starts with a lone Rockets Sneasel ex, I have a much more productive start and get out MUCH faster then he does. Eventually he steves looking for a rainbow which probably would have shifted the game in his favor but hes unable to get it. I OHKO his Drag and from there on out its game, he scoops to save time.
Game 2: He has a lone Dratini to my Voltorb he goes first attaches and puts me to sleep. In my hand I have Dark Trode/Rainbow and I draw and TD a Rare Candy. I rare candy to trode fetch a dark outta my deck attach the rainbow and do 40. He evolves to dragonair and warp points hoping I dont have the energy to retreat which I do, and I kill his lone dragoniar the next turn.
T4 vs. Jason K(Mirror)
Just lemme note before this game, Jason already with a trip says to me "I'm here to ruin it for you" His cocky attitude was around all day. His remarks like "Im here to ruin it for you" and "There is always next year" shows the wonderful influence he has on the game. Jason just so you know I'm personally disgusted with your behavior, and I know that others are too. I know you could give a damn about it, but Karma is an interesting situation, what goes around does come around, and I will be laughing when the same thing happens to you.
Game 1: He gets setup, I draw garbage the entire game. I use like 1 draw card total, and he goes on to win.
Game 2: I didnt see draw at ALL this game, I eventually get down to 1 prize but he beats me. I throw my hand down and walk out of the room because Im extremely frustrated and know if I dont leave, that the odds of me doing something im gonna regret are high. At this point Alex(BigChuck01) is still playing Matt T, and I know if Alex wins I still have the chance at a trip, so I wait around and it turns out Alex wins, so I still play for the trip.
For the trip/3rd place vs. Matt T(Dark Slowking)
Game 1: I get a garbage start and he MIZES the hell outta me. Enough said
Game 2: My start isnt very good again, but nor is his. I Copycat a large hand of his and I get the most BEAUTIFUL hand I had seen all day. Its like Dark Trode/Dual Ball/Rare Candy/Dragonite it was Great. Within the same turn Im setup and I kill his Slowking, he scoops a couple turns later realizing I was gonna be able to OHKO anything he has.
Game 3: I have a Rockets Sneasel ex and a Dratini. I start w/ Sneasel and attach a dark doing 20 to his Jirachi. Im holding an R energy in my hand so I keep saying, end your turn, end your turn. He uses some draw trainer, I know at this point hes probably 1 tool short of being able to kill me. He doesnt get the tool and says if you have the R its game, I show him the R in my hand which would win me the game and I win the trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm honestly in like shock after the game. For the last couple years Ive seem to have a curse of not being able to finish tournaments off,(T4 Nats, T4 Regionals, T4 at 2 GC's last year etc. etc.) but Finally I was able to. I get my stuff from Derek, and wait around for a bit cause Im gonna follow Matt back on I94. I get some congrats from Psycodad and his family (Way to go Dan winning a trip!) and then drive the hour back home.
