ICMN, let me know what you found room for it, the holon mentor needs to stay in cause u always need basics at least t2..

Hey crazy trader I would stop being so confident about ur gg deck, since it got beat in newmexico, and I beat you already with a bad version of bannete, gg is pure luck with absol in start, bannete SLAUGHTERS gg, so stop thinking you can win against it.. you can win dont get me wrong, but you either have to get really lucky, or bannete has a crap start.
 
Octillery is so much better than Gore whatever.
1.It snipes
2.It will do 90-120 to Magmortar when their behind which shoould happen if you play the deck right.

Still u need Claydol,it makes no sense to play Wager without it and u didnt even have Minun over Claydol,sorry but you gotta play somemore with this deck to fully understand the concept on how it is supposed to work consistantly.

ha k if u say so justin u have not beat my gg deck with bannett cause u just built it and i played u 2 and slaughtered u both times. and i don't have to be lucky with the deck . all skill u just stall with absol for the win and wait thats what i did both times to u. and by the way bannett is just as much about luck as gg.
 
So you think that G&G beats T2 Bannette just because you played 1 measly game against 1 person?? Dude, test it some more and play against some different people.
 
K crazy trader, you must have a really bad memory, cause the first game I T2ed with ghost head cause you only had an absol no basics.. second game i lost cause u got lucky with absol and stalled.. CONGRATS!! for not knowing anything about bannete! And flygon thanks for backing me up, I call it T1 cause you acension T1 then you get bannete out T1.

I also figured a way to fit in anoter 1-1 line of gorebyss its working really well now, list updated! once again thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
 
Ya, but, who uses Absol in G&G these days?? I recommend newbs do,(no offense crazy trader). the last time that I saw a absol in a G&G deck was at citys!!

Flygon999, some people still use absol, its ok in the deck I used it myself for states and won but i do belive there is better options for the deck now..

c murderxxx, I dont know which format your playing in but ussualy its hp-on meaning that half your deck is banned. but cool list is it were an unlimited tourny.
 
Ure T1(if u go second) and u use Rare Candy/DRE/and Lunatone,discard Banette and on ure T1 Do 80,which would beat anything pretty much,but it dosent even come close to happenning like such.
 
gorebyss still stinks, pulling out something and doing 1 isn't good even if you hit weakness, 50 and confusion isn't that good either i promise you that it's just in your head that it helps beat mag, you just like it so much and get such satisfaction from playing something "original" that you won't listen to what anyone says, we are not all in seniors either

noone likes gorebyss, don't post a deck if you can't listen to people's advce i love gorebyss myself and i've set them aside and tryed to make a deck with them but it will never work , banette is a deck a lot of people try to play and have lists for and everyone knows it has a hard time with mag, gorebyss is not the solution that all these masters who win and final in tourney's were missing, it's not overlooked, just not worth the spots,

roselia was good, if gorebyss were a basic maybe it would be playable
 
Flygon, the reason I call it turn 1 is because you get a bannete out T1, although your not attacking with it you still get it out T1.

Todd, I dont really respect you DISrespecting me. Your saying my idea sucks pretty much, and that it will never work. Have you even tried it yet against mag vairiants? The gorebyss tech increased my match-ups Immensely. Dint say I'm not listening to other people, or that I just want to be unique.. Im trying to find the best way to run bannete for regionals. So I'm trying to find a way to increase my match-up against mag because mag is my only problem right now. Not only is gorebyss good for one hitting a mag, switching out there pokemon (Making them lose a resource) And confusions them (Making them lose more resources) is good in my opinion. You haven't gave me any helpful advice expect dog on the fact that i have gorebyss in here and how its not good. Go test it out yourself, build straight bannete then see how much times you lose, then tech in the gorebyss.. Use my list too, cause i don't want you coming back saying it STINKS because your list was bad. and dont say no one likes the gorebyss tech..

Either go 2/2 Gorebyss or toss it completely depending on how many Magmortars see play. I played a similar deck (4/4 Banette 2/2 Gorebyss and 1 Lunatone) and went 4-1 at States :biggrin:. Gorebyss is good and helps with a lot more match-ups than just Mag.

mbrisuis, claydol actually isn't necessary in here, the deck is still consistent through out the whole game without it.. Witht the amount of draw and discard I have, I really don't need claydol.. I even built straight bannete with no claydol beat 2 of my friends mirror match than ran claydol because the speed makes up for the little inconsistency towards mid game.

Does he not like gorebyss? and theres plently of people who think it could be an awesome tech cause it is.. I have tried it.

I can consistently get a T2 Banette 80 damage with the fishing engine. It's extremely rare if I don't. Plus most turns thereafter I have others as well. I don't have my deck here at work, otherwise I'd post it, but I will later. If I can do that, I'm not worried about a separate line to target Mag decks. I just use Banette/LunaSol. Sooner or later they run out of steam.

For turn one if you go second all you have to do is play rare candy to banette and use ghost head. I've done it before it is so much fun to get in to top cut by winning your match that way.
 
i've played banette for a while gorebyss was suggested a long time ago and it doesn't work

as far as techs gorebys isn't consistant, i'm not going to post my ideas for you to just say, oh no i like gorebyss, my ideas are actually serious and you don't seem to want anyone's help

are any of the people saying gorebyss works in masters?

i'd add at least 1 strentgh charm, i don't know what to take out but you need the extra damage with gorebyss, it's pretty weak, pretty much anything that's not magmorter, including magmorter can deal with him so the added strength charm should help take stuff down,

i'm not against originality or trying to be disrespectful, i just think many other things are better including octillery
