Thx Clay for holding a true TN state championship in the middle of the state. Great turnout! Thx for the travelers also from GA, FL, MO (hope I havent forgotten anyone) Good to see some old faces from Memphis. Hadnt seen some of them since TN States in 2004.

A special side note.....it was so good to see Carlos M. yesterday. Anyone that knows him, knows about his medical situation. He looked SUPER! If you give to only one charity this year, make it St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis. They do soooo much for young folks.

Truly a great event with alot of great judge calls made by Prof. Clay and Lawman. :D

Can't wait to do it all again next year!

Hey Gang!!

Thanks for making it all run so well. Great turnout...great players!!

It was a wonderful mix of players and having an even break down thru all the divisions made it very cool for me. 29 juniors is a great number.

Results have been uploaded for those who need to know about such things

More later!

I judged the MA T8. Winner was David C. (Moltres423), 2nd was Craig A. , 3rd Matt K. and 4th was James W. (Muk Man)

SRs winner was Zak K. (Vince's son)

Keith

Benny V was 2nd in SRs. My son lost in T8, along w/ Kevin W.
Brandon (I think) was T4 also. I dont remember all the T8 since I was busy with the MAs.

A young man from MO won JRs and Aaron S. (TN) took 2nd.

Gardy decks won all 3 age groups.

Keith

^ Thanks, Keith. I'm shocked that Kevin was eleminated before he after the first round though.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Sam, I took 3rd. I told you (read above) that I'd give you a run for it!

Looks like I was right this time! But good going man!

I must say, I am amazed. You do have amazing luck though. I needed to make my deck more consistant; I've found furrett to be better than absol. If only I had been able to evolve into a gallade before you wager'd, I would have won. Good job; you earned it.

*Prays that ranking won't go WAY down*

Oh yeah, BTW, if you go to MS don't expect to get so lucky cuz my deck is amazing and completely consistant ;)

Ok, so does anyone have EXACT names of all 6 players? 1st & 2nd in each age group that is...

I got home about 10:30 after losing in the Top 8. We ended up with 8 from Chatt. with 2 of us in the top cuts.

Great job epsicially to Clay and Keith. It was a great event.

I have the Junior - Brian H. 1st Place...from Missouri

I have the Seniors - Zak K. 1st Place...from Missouri

2nd Place Seniors - Benny V....from Memphis, TN!

So, we have Zak get in the Hathawaymobile when they find out Denise is Sick, take him down, let him win, and take him home!

Nice, nice, nice people!

Thanks to the TN gang for your usual hospitality...Zak had a BLAST seeing his friends!!!

Vince - wish I could have been there, but I was vistin Bernie13!!!

Vince: It was good to see Zak. My son was the only one to hang a L on him all day (Rd 2). I told my son after the match that Zak would probably winout in swiss to keep his resistance high. Little did I know how right I would be.....Zak just kept winning! Congrats. I knew the JR winner was from MO, but didnt catch his name.

How could you not catch one of the top jr.'s from Nationals and Worlds from 2007 that will be a favorite at Natioanals 2008? We are way over here in Texas and even we have an eye on him. Way to go Brian H. on your victory taking Tenn. Repeat in Missouri next weekend.

Wasnt my age group! (At least, not until Nats 08!) I was busy in the SRs and MAs. We were short one judge, so Rick handled the JRs until top cut. Plus, results were logged directly at the computer, so I didnt have match slips to put names with (new) faces.

I'm sure I will see plenty of Mr. Brian @ Nats though. He played well.
