Warning Issue Date: 1231 PM CDT WED MAR 05 2008

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST FRIDAY... ...SNOW ADVISORY NO LONGER IN EFFECT... AS AN UPPER SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS NORTH TEXAS...HEAVIER SNOW BANDS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. SNOW WILL THEN SPREAD EAST INTO THE METROPLEX THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO NORTHEAST TEXAS THIS EVENING. SNOW TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN AN AREA RUNNING FROM EASTLAND COUNTY EASTWARD ACROSS THE METROPLEX AND ON INTO THE SULPHUR SPRINGS AREA. NEAR THE RED RIVER UP TO SIX INCHES ARE POSSIBLE. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS IN THE WEST...TO NEAR SUNRISE CENTRAL AND EAST. A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW... SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

Now...Moderate to heavy snow will continue through 2 pm from breckenridge to graham to jacksboro...Where up to 2 inches is possible through early afternoon. Rain will mix with sleet and snow from comanche to western sections of the dfw metroplex to gainesville by early afternoon before changing to all snow later this afternoon. Isolated thundersnow is also possible in this area. Across southern sections of north Texas...Rain and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon. The stronger storms will be capable of producing hail and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

Just a REMINDER to EVERYONE PLAYING in the Texas State Tourny, It is the responsibility of the PLAYER to have DAMAGE COUNTERS, POISON & BURN MARKERS!!

Please make sure you have these before the tournament begins!!

Also, be careful for everyone traveling down, up, across or from wherever you might be coming!! Roads are getting a nice covering of Snow and Sleet so add a little time to your driving if coming Tonight or Tomorrow AM time!

Can't wait for the Battles to Begin!!

WEATHER UPDATE:

Looks like no snow here in North Dallas, near Mesquite. BUT There is a second storm on its way, later this evening.

I Live in Dallas, and the NBC 5 Weatherman, said that when the flurries that are near Lubbock, will develop once it hits the dry line and will produce 1-2 more inches (in some areas) for North Texas, later tonight, into Friday morning, ending roughly 7am.

The concern is not the snow, but the Winter weather Mix, that will cause roads to be Icy, etc.

I'm on my computer....... in Florida........ in near 100% humidity (because of the rain)....... missing out on the snow :frown:
