No, Pokemon Master is correct, it is any of the five "Generation IV" games, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver as stated in the rules.

wow um read post #1 please pokemonrocks777 it says diamond pearl platinum HG AND SS. hmmmmm im gonna have to finish heart gold today.... probley won't be able to come but il see....

Yes TM's and HM's are allowed xD

I also wanted to remind people to bring chargers for their DS, because if DS's die during games it will be a game loss and if they die between and you can't get a DS to play with it will be a DQ.
