It with a sad heart I realize that my time as TO is over.
Due to the new regulations from the Scandinavian distributor is it impossible for an independent TO to perform any events at all. From this season must all TO have connections to stores which not exist in my area. I have asked TOYS"R"US and other of the toy stories in my area, which I previous time have worked, without success.
Ok, it’s maybe not a big deal for me personally or POP is total but it effectively destroying the game in my part of Sweden for the ~40-50 players that has been part of the game for several years. The player base here have a great mix of both competitive players which has attend the Worlds several times and players participating just for being part of the fun.

My leagues have been arranged at the public libraries and my tournaments at different places, both public libraries and for example show rooms at different shopping malls. I have had a great time arranging the tournaments and give the kids a meaningful spear time.

I started as a Tournament Organizer at 2006 when I had my first pre-release after my son qualified to the Worlds. After that have I act as both translators and Judge at Worlds, been HJ for several Nationals here in Sweden and arranged over 40 tournaments and leagues around Sweden. It has been a great time and I think back to it with affection. I and my kids have got many friends around in Sweden and the World that we wouldn’t have met otherwise.

I wish you all the best luck in the future and hopefully will we maybe meet again.

get POP to get the LD to change its rule by getting the fanbase to side with you by petitioning against the LD's change or something by getting POP to understand the suitation or something.

I hope it the long run it does work out. Player bases are hard to rebuild. You would think that smart people would do the right thing in the end, but sometimes it is hard to find those smart people.

I remember meeting you for the first time at pool side in San Diego 2005 with your bad Sun Burn from driving around in a convertable. Good luck to you and Oscar.

Well i suppose you can still get together like a group and play... i go every saturday and play with friends and not actualy win anything, just for the fun. Its not part of organized play, nor league, but i still get to have fun, chat a little, and be with friends. :S im sorry for this happening. But idk your situation, but just saying, maybe you could still join the group of people, play have fun while you work things out.

Just had that thought. >_< please dont misunderstand me :S

I know exactly how it feels if a distributor destroys everything you worked on for years.
Not much to do about it, since they are in charge of OP.

Good luck and all the best

Loppe,

I hope that a favorable resolution to this dilemma can be found in time to allow your players to continue their organized play without interruption, and that you and your players continue to play Pokemon, and that I might see you at a future Worlds event.
