I apologize but I do not recognize your name. Just out of curiosity, what accomplishments do you own? (Not trying to sound rude)

No, you're not being "rude" at all.

My tournament credentials:

7 time City Champion
4 time State Champion
3 time Regional Champion
3 time Gym Challenge Champion
5 time Battle Road Champion
11 time New York City Pokémon league Champion
placed 4th at the 2005 National Championships
participated in worlds for 2004, 2005, and 2006
earned over $7,000 in scholarships
earned over $3,000 in booster boxes and portable gaming consoles from winning Pokémon TCG tournaments.

I was just trying to have some fun with your post. Other than that, I'm real nice guy:thumb:

You should probably add Eric C. to that...he's playing again meaning we're all doomed -.-

Frankie I am excited to hear you are coming to this! I'll make sure we get Eric to some of these events since he started playing again!! You guys are going to get some great players that will participate and will help everyone become better players.

this looks super fun! i really wanna try to go

heidi and larry are super people and great TOs. this is sure to be a well ran and fun series of events with great competition in great weather.

Not a fan of this marathon thing, kinda puts us working folks at a disadvantage..

Keep in mind that these are NOT the ONLY Cities in Florida.

Heidi has 5 more that are not apart of the marathon. The Curry's will have 4-5 not apart of the marathon. South Florida Organizer Larry might have 1 more non-marathon one. And Tampa Organizer Sean should have 1 has well.

If you look at the Battle Road schedule there was not a Saturday/Sunday in a 5 week time frame that did not have a Battle Road. All of the Organizers scheduled around each other to ensure that events didn't conflict.

Of the 10 weekend days there was... 1 that had 3 events, 5 that had 2 and 4 that had only 1 event.

Considering the state had 17 Battle Road events, that is pretty awesome.

Attention all Pokemon Players!!!!! I have just spoken to Larry Altavilla, organizer of 2 of the Florida Marathon events. He has told me that he is going to have a special unsanctioned TEAM TOURNAMENT on Friday Night (12/16/11) before the first City Championship. Your 7 days of Pokemon has just turned into 8 days!!!!

The team tournament will take place in Pembroke Pines at Zap Boom Ka-Pow. This store is close to the location of the first (Davie) City Championship.

Cost will be $20 a team.

*1st place team wins 2 boxes (1 box per team mate). *8 teams (16 players) are needed for this prize payout. More prizes may be added if attendance is greater, prizes may be reduced if attendance is less then 8 teams.

More info to come. I will say that you want to be in town by at least 6:00pm to play in the Team Tournament.

you have to remember, also, that there is a cap on the number of cities you can retrieve championship points from (5 IIRC)

so that mitigates the advantage gained for the non-working folks.

I added the address for the location in Pompano Beach which has now moved to a bigger store. I also made some slight adjustments to registration times for Larry's two locations, he is allowing people to register a little earlier to keep things running smoothly.

this series of events will feature the best players in the world. 4 worlds finalists, 2 national champions, a slew of regional and state champions and other national and worlds level placers.

definitely the most challenging city championships in the world.

come to Florida to prove your strength (duh)!
