INTRODUCTION

Since Pokemon TCG: Platinum was released a while back, Pokemon SP caught the eye of a many dedicated players and starting players alike. With the allure of these decks, players immediately set to work with building their G decks. the main luring factors the Pokemon SP brought to the players are:

  1. all SP Pokemon are basic, regardless of their original stages.
for basic Pokemon, they're HP is relatively high and CAN prevent a first turn DONK from rogue decks such as the notorious Rampardos PL.
attacks done by these Pokemon have the potential to hit for a lot and, with certain combination's, they can be easily exploited.
a number of trainers work specifically for these Pokemon and also assist in the exploitation of their attacks.

Currently, these decks are roaming freely across the Pokemon TCG world and are conquering most other decks. so it is not much of a shock that I'm reporting about a very commonly found deck.

and, without further ado, here is the deck list:

Strategy

Oooookay, so let's begin with the pokemon in this deck.

there are 2 main attackers in this deck: Mightyena PL and Toxicroak G. The other Pokemon are for either set-up, assistance in attack, or Drawing Power.

First off-the-bat, we have Skuntank G. EVERY G deck and each of its variations relies greatly of this. As its Poison Structure :ppowr: is used, supposing it isn't against another G pokemon, will poison it BUT not Toxicroak. With the poisoning, it will attack for 60. adding the poison, at the end of your opponent's turn, you opponent will either be (A) Badly hit, forcing your opponent to really think about his next move; OR (B) Freaked out by a T1/T2 KO.
a T1 KO is possible, if you attach a rainbow energy, put on an energy gain and a stadium down, Poison Structure and hit. a T2 KO is more likely, not needing the energy gain and not requiring your opponent to start off the match.
Mightyena is also a good combo with Skuntank. like Toxicroak, it is also capable of a T1/T2 KO. it has a slightly higher damage output but, unlike Toxicroak G, it is poisoned when Poison Structure is used. thanks to it's Cold Feet :pbody:, poisoning gives it a beautiful 50/80 damage attack for...

FREE!!

The second non-attacking Pokemon would be Crobat G....
well, there ain't much to talk bout him. put him down, one damage counter on anyone. this may not sound that great, but sometimes, a single damage counter goes a long way, Especially since i have 3 copies of Crobat G in this deck, and 4 Poketurns, i could potentially put 7 damage counters on ANY of my opponents pokemon. That is AWESOME!

Next, we have Bronzong. Though this card doesn't look too sparkling at first, its Galactic Switch :ppowr:, it assists by moving around energies to where they are most needed. for example, say you have a Mightyena out and its just about to be KO'd and it has a special darkness energy to make it hit harder, you could move it to Weavile, to provide a return fire right after Mightyena is KO'd

Next up is Weavile G. This card is a real good set up, bringing out the G cards that work best in the situation. It can also serve as a secondary attacker, potentially hitting for 70 damage. with the 3 Special Darkness Energies, that jumps up to 100 damage!

lastly, we have Claydol.....well, {standard Claydol Text...good draw engine...bla bla:tongue:}

Moving on to the Trainers

Night Maintenance is for a constant stream of Pokemon to hit with, moving your fallen comrades from the discard pile back into your deck, to be used once again against your opponent.

Poketurns are for emergencies, when your Toxicroak G is about to be knocked out,Poketurn him and put him back down. After your opponent's hard work to get close to take it down, you shatter his hopes with a fresh Toxicroak G. The expression on his/her face would be a minor victory in itself!

Energy Gains are simply to help your Pokemon hit faster, saving them a really annoying 1 extra :colorless energy to attack...AUGH!

everything else is actually self explanatory, mostly a staple in every deck.

however, the reason i use so many different types of stadiums is because of the deck needing them and how they help these particular types of Pokemon and basic Pokemon as well.

match-ups will be added soon as i get them.

lol you need psychic energy good luck starting with a psychic everytime you get a toxicroak. have you even tried playing this deck yet? not to be mean but you need 4 cyrus and roseanne to make these decks consistant.

If the deck revolves around Toxicroak / Mightyena you'll need atleast 2-3 :psychic: energy in the deck. Your only way to attack with them is based off of the Rainbow Energy. Which is not searchable. Atleast 2-3 :psychic: need to be added.

changes made, check them out....sadly i can't get roseanne's where i am, people are asking for rediculous trades for them :S
