We all know that as soon as Shaymin LvX comes out, we will see swarms of grass decks. but there IS a way to counter them. and it isn't that expensive to make!

Pokemon: 15

4 Houndour GE
4 Houndoom LA

3 Chatot MD

2 Baltoy GE
2 Claydol GE

Energy: 16

4 Call Energy
12 Fire Energy

Trainers: 29

4 Bebe's
4 Buck's
3 Roseanne's
3 TM-TS1
4 PlusPower
3 Lake Boundary
4 Energy Patch
2 Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance

Basically, T2 houndoom. You want to limit your bench as much as possible, because against Torterra, houndoom should be able to 1-shot the overgrown turtle every time. (Lake boundary + body). Decks that go for shaymin's boost all have fire weakness, which means that a lake boundary should be able to take care of them in 1 hit. This is a very straightforward deck that should be able to counter the surge of grass decks we see once shaymin comes out.

u realize that shaymin wont be out till 2 sets from now. The prospect of Kingdra still holding a spot in the metagame through Raichu, and all of the water-resistant grass pokemon is slim.

I'd say the prospect of having even the slightest idea of how the metagame will look in 6 months is VERY SLIM altogether, and definitely too slim to make a "counter". Come on guys, build decks for BRs, or Cities if you can't go to any BRs or something.

Pokeblower to gust in the shaymin or whatever else and KO it? I'd bet that the opponent would try to limit their bench, and a timely pokeblower would seal the deal.

3 chatot? is that really needed?
