Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The final master quest

Yeah, life sucks, I know.

Mewtwo: I'm still here.

As I said.

"But I always thought that I'd see you again"
-James Taylor, Fire and Rain

Nice song, though, maybe another Pokemon CD is coming.

By the way, technically, next week is still another MQ ep.

I'm kinda surprised the bike got fixed (and that a Nurse Joy would have the time and skills to repair one, then I have no problem with all those incredible pokemon attacks). I wonder how long it actually took her to do it.

Dang, I had recorded that so I could watch it later (since I knew I wouldn't be able to see it all the way through), and I forgot I did it. Now I have to be down here in my basement longer as I watch it (because I can't wait until tomorrow).

Ahh, that's okay though. It's all worth it.

ADDENUM: Hmm... Is that Rachel singing (I'm not sure, sounds sort of like Lisa Oritz). Whowever it is, she's GOOD.

Don't worry guys! There are some special things planned for the future for Misty and Brock.

*SPOILER*
Just for a little comforting spoiler, Brock comes back after a few episodes into Hoenn.

It was interesting and, yet, sad. I think what really killed it was that it was so touching and then..."WHOS THAT POKEMON?" :unknown-l:unknown-o:unknown-l

But I found it interesting to see that Misty and Ash never kissed or anything like that (Not even when they said GOOD-BYE). *Pick's up friend's "paintball amunition launcher"and hunts for spoiler guy that told false spoils*

Either way, Im kind of happy that the Johto stuff is FINALLY over. How many seasons did it take the Johto league to end? 2? Kanto took only 1 season and they had all 8 gym battles as well as the Kanto PKMN championship. Orange Islands also took one season (even though it was less than 8 gyms, but STILL). I am happy that they are going into Hoenn now.

Speaking of which, when is the Hoenn stuff gonna start? From where I live, Kids WB is always on Sundays, but either way, I forgot when it was.

Ah, yes, the screwed up Chicago, schedule. Advanced should start Nov 2nd there. Also, remember that the TV show is limited by ammuniton provided by the video games, The original series didn't start until sometime after the Japanese game came out, so of course Kanto was short.

The first half of the episode was mostly a tear-jerker, but it wasn't without its humor (most prominently being Brock talking about onions in his food when he leaves, though they did throw in some of the generic Brock-in-love humor at the beginning). Then Misty and Brock left, and then "WHO'S THAT POKEMON?", and I'm thinking "Whoa, we're only half-way through?"

The second half had me cracking up. I guess that might make me sound kind of sadistic, but it was just a bunch of little things that were tickling my funny bone. Most notably being right after Ash jumps out of the pit. I made an animated gif that pretty much explains why I thought that was silly. (The picture is kinda crummy because I had to take photographs of the TV screen.)

But, all in all, I'd say it was a very well done episode.

Yeah, Ash really pulled a...who was that TV guy who escaped tough situations with common household items? McGyver?

Are you talking about me? If so, I am pretty sure I got the spoiler right and I can assure you I would not make it up. I read all the episode guides on the Japanese episodes and I don't know what you are talking about. If you are not talking about me, then ignore this.

LOL Orange Soda, that cracked me up, too. :) As for Misty and Ash not kissing, it's probably because Ash is still too much of an idiot to know that Misty likes him. :) It's so strange that I like the show when I can't stand Ash for being such an idiot all the time. I still haven't forgiven him for the bonehead things he did in the first season: Letting Butterfree go, giving away Primeape, trying to let Pikachu go, catching nothing but Tauros in the Safari Zone. Oh, I nearly forgot, the infamous Metapod vs. Metapod episode! Someone needs to seriously knock some sense into him!

Best part of the ep. was when Ash was muttering thank yous after you clearly see Brock and Misty pass over the horizon, and when Ash falters, you hear Brock say "Go on..."! And Brock is standing right there with Misty again, out of the blue. Classic.

The way Ash tried to team up with Gary was also cool. The show has definitely come a long way. It was a great episode.

Yeah, it has come a long way. I'm still very surprised that Ash beat Gary, and apparently it took losing to Ash to finally get rid of Gary's attitude. Ash is still an idiot, though. :)

If that is the last Pokemon episode you would ever watch, it would be that one. It really ties up all the ends. I mean, just amazing. When was the last time an episode of POKEMON (!!!) made you cry? *sigh*

Kanto took roughly a season and a half to complete. The Orange Islands, roughly three-quarters. Johto, on the other hand, took three arcs and about that many seasons to complete. By the time season six is done, Hoenn'll lasted three-quarters of a season, with more on the way in season seven.
