To start with, this thread has been approved by TC, so it's not just some random thread asking for donations.
I know the Pokemon TCG community is certainly a very tight knit one, and everyone reaches out to help others in a time of need. I've seen it so many times before, and it's heart warming to see what people are willing to do for others.
Our general playing area consists of Ohio, and northern West Virginia. A.J Schumacher, the PTO for most of the area, has been doing a lot to grow the game in West Virginia, and is getting a nice group down there. One of the league leaders in that area, Laura; her daughter Brittany has just been diagnosed with leukemia. What we've started doing is taking a collection for her. Her favorite Pokemon is Eevee, so we're gathering cards, figures, plush, anything we can get our hands on for her. We've gotten artwork and get well cards also.
I'm looking to the TCG community for this. If you guys have any Eevee items you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate them!
If anyone is interested, please send me a PM and I'll give you my mailing address for these. We want to shower her with these and show her just how much the Pokemon community cares!
Our deadline is June 10th, as everything will be delivered that weekend!
